Interim Dean: Timothy S. Schoenecker
I am pleased to welcome you to the School of Business at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Our school believes in the concept of adding value. For our students, we add value by enhancing their career prospects. For organizations, we add value by developing innovative business professionals that meet their needs. For the business disciplines, we add value by producing and disseminating timely and relevant scholarship. As you examine our website, we believe that you will see how we add value for all of these groups of stakeholders. In particular, I encourage you to view the publications section of our website to keep up to date on the latest School of Business news and accomplishments.
The SIUE School of Business is among only 5% of the estimated 16,000 business programs worldwide that are accredited by AACSB International—the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Additionally, we hold a separate AACSB accreditation for our accounting program, a distinction which can only be claimed by 25% of all AACSB accredited institutions. Clearly, this puts us in very select company! Please visit the AACSB website to learn more about the standards used to ensure that we continuously monitor, improve, and offer a quality business education.
If you are a prospective student planning to join the SIUE School of Business, our website provides information on advising, academic programs, student organizations, international opportunities, and other student services that are designed to maximize your educational experience at SIUE. We offer undergraduate programs in Accounting, Computer Management and Information Systems, Economics and Finance, and Business Administration as well as graduate degrees in Business Administration, Computer Management and Information Systems, Economics and Finance, and Marketing Research. If you are interested in the world of business, I am confident that one of our degree programs will meet your needs.
We are proud to have over 26,000 alumni leading companies and public agencies such as The Boeing Company, Edward Jones, Price Waterhouse Coopers, KPMG, Monsanto, Union Pacific, The Federal Reserve, and many others across the globe. Other alumni are successful entrepreneurs and civic leaders; one of our MBA alumni even finished his degree after being elected to the US House of Representatives!
Finally, the SIUE School of Business serves the broader community through continuing and executive education programs, as well as business outreach programs such as the Small Business Development Center and the International Trade Center. Additional information about the School's outreach efforts can be found in the business and partnerships section of our website.
Thank you for visiting our website and please contact us if you would like additional information on the SIUE School of Business.
