Well maintained regional park that will meet all of your park desires! They offer so many options of play, bike rentals of all sorts, sports facilities, even an archery space, and the best part for me was the mini lake-ish area that offered pedal swan boats!!!! So much and reasonably priced per person with lower rates for the kiddos. Don't pass up this great spot for some good family outdoor entertainment and body movement if you're in the area! Not too.far from here is a great vegan ice cream spot called Hug Life! Check em out! Restrooms: Seemed to have plenty of bathrooms spotd but I did not go inside of one so I can't speak.on the cleanliness or appearances. Dog-friendliness: Perfect place to walk your pooch! Picnic area: A beautiful place do great picnics!
a beautifully kept, giant, open park like this is such a gift! you can easily space out and find your own nook, while enjoying the liveliness of all the different types of people and events going on around you. there is free street parking if you don't mind walking a few extra steps into the park. best part is watching baby ducks
Finally stopped by. Surprisingly nicer than anticipated - numerous birds, island & bridge, boats & bikes to rent, numerous restrooms, restaurants across the street. There's a sanctuary i still want to check out next time.
Has been well kept and clean with an abundance of open space and great scenery for the whole family to enjoy you will not miss out on wildlife as it roams freely.
$5.00 to enter. The park is really nice and clean. It has a nature trail, pond, and boat and bicycle rentals. Dog friendly. Must keep dogs on a leash.
Not sure if it's the best, UT it has a lot of what I love. Squirrels, turtles, fish, water foul, golf, basketball, archery, farmers market! And if you come on a Sat or Sun to the kids park by the lake, there will bean ice cream man.
On my bday my kids surprised me with a trip to mile square park and a swan boat ride. Very cute..... They have little bicycle doom buggy things too, which will be next haha They have fishing and water fountain for kids to play in. Great for a hot day. A very quiet and beautiful day. Great local thing to do with the family or loved one!
If you are homeless and staying in a vehicle, you can park your vehicle in the street alongside the park. As long as you move now and then and you stay low key and your vehicle is legal, then you should not have any problems. Be respectful and don't litter.
Enjoyed spending an afternoon picnicking at the lake in the park. Saw a number of geese with baby chicks by their side. Also spotted a goose variety I’ve never seen before, an Egyptian goose pictured here.
We went to the TET festival. It was a lot of fun. The food was good but a little pricey and the lines were long. The entertainment was great even from Way in the back where we sat. We usually have gone to Chinatown for the parade. In some ways this was better. Be sure to wear red when you go Playground: Lots of rides and games for the children, but the playground was pretty busy. Restrooms: They had a lot of porta potties at the festival and they were as clean as you ever see those. Dog-friendliness: Lots of people brought their dogs and had no problems walking around except for the crowd. Picnic area: Milesquare is known for picnics, but I didn't saw any barbecue pits or stands and very few tables except for what the organizers of the festival brought. Normally, you should figure on bringing your cold meal and sitting on a blanket. It's still very pretty. Don't be there near sunset or when it's dark. My wife and I were robbed there. The lighting appears to be set up to encourage criminal activity.
