I was excited to eat here because I was sick of eating at the El Nopals in town... It was a busy Tuesday night, food took forever was cold, worst chips ever, I had maybe a half of cup of beans and lots of broth and what looked like baloney and tasted like bologna floating on the top.. I am open to suggestions for good Mexican food in this town, please....
We ordered sangria to start with. I should have asked if they make their own in-house. To answer that question, it is not made in-house and comes from a bottle with some fruit thrown in. My fault for not asking. Next, our dinners were not very good. Whatever they season their shredded chicken with, leaves the chicken not very flavorful and pretty bland. I had high hopes that we may have found a good Mexican restaurant finally in Louisville. We saw there were so many positive reviews. We were very disappointed. We'll continue our search. This restaurant definitely is not it!
The Vegetarian choice was good; not bland or overly cheesy. Another person in our party had Chicken Enchiladas. The chicken was shredded; there was lots of it; however, that was basically a that was in it- with some cheese on top. It was bland/boring. The other member of our party had Beef Tacos and loved them. The frozen Margaritas were delicious. Vegetarian options: Some good Vegetarian options. Parking: Free parking in their lot; however it is a busy place at dinner time and tough to find a parking spot. Wheelchair accessibility: No curb to get over from the parking lot to the entrance sidewalk. Hooray!
Sat down and ordered bean dip it was out in seconds....cold. we told the server we needed more time to order.... she gave us a minute and was back. Normally when I get an appetizer I would like to enjoy it. Was so put off by the rush that we walked out. Could have been good but been will never know.
Their buy one, get 1 free margaritas flavors included were very good but you are required to get 2 of the same flavor, which seemed weird to me. The menu doesn't show a price for them so who knows what they cost. Vegetable fajitas were very good as was the Mexican soup. Pricing is fair but not inexpensive like some other places here that run coupons. Vegetarian options: 4 entree vegetarian options plus fajitas.
Actually the food was very good I was going to concerned the place was going to be too small cuz I was taking some people out for their birthday but it was really nice and the food was really good I really enjoyed it and I eat at lots of Mexican places I would say this is one of the top ones
Staff are friendly. Lots of parking. Atmosphere is as expected for a Mexican restaurant, they have nice decor and TVs playing sports. Food was just ok both times I’ve gone.
