I don’t enjoy making negative reviews but this was so bad I felt obligated to warn others from coming here. We showed up early at 3pm, we had an hour to kill so went to eat at Sportmans Cafe. It was terrible. Waitress was unwelcoming. For the appetizers she took our food into the staff restroom to grab napkins? The meat pies were flavorless. The hamburger was over cooked and dry. My wife’s 9 dollar salad had no chicken maybe a good thing. Waitress we saw twice, she brought the food out and came back to give the check. Never checked on us. Never mind the restaurant was empty and they all stood around talking. It was full of flies too. As soon as we left I became nauseous and threw up. The rest of the evening I felt sick. We then went to our room and it was equally horrible. The beds were full of hairs and blood stains. The restroom was full of hair and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned. Carpet felt grimy. Thankful they gave us a refund for the room and we came to the horseshoe casino which was great. You have been warned!
Played here a couple times. Blackjack table shuffles the deck while you are actively playing. Slots payout chump change. It’s pretty on the inside. Probably a nice place to have dinner. They have a buffet, always has a line and a couple other popular restaurants. Bossier City casinos really don’t payout at all. I would just save your cheddar for somewhere you have a chance to win. Or don’t. It’s your money.
At the time this was Hollywood, the many early years as El Dorado, the cleanliness of the rooms was my baseline for every hotel. Not quite what it used to be, but we are comfortable here. Glad to see the smoking policy changed in the casino. The casino changes every couple of months, but sometimes getting paid a jackpot takes a while, but has improved. Very limited cocktail waitresses with a wait of up to 30 minutes or more, frequently. Still our go to place.
We stayed the night here for my sister's 21st birthday. Our room had a musky, old smell and our mini fridge also did not work, unfortunately we drank hot beers then our TV did not have a remote anywhere in the room. We also had issues with the ice machine on the floor not producing ice, so again hot drinks. We did get drinks at the casino, unfortunately we had to go to the bar because a server was nowhere to be found and had wait 25+ minutes on our drinks because the waitress and bartenders were to busy talking and playing. The drinks were watered down and tasted like cheap liquor. We did complain about our room issues during checkout and the front desk employee said "thank you, have a good day". So much for customer service and not addressing the issue. We won't be back, should have went with out guts and stayed at a different casino. Nearby activities: Only thing good was location as we were able to go to Sam's Casino and get better service on drinks.
I loved this place, everyone was nice, they brought extra towels quick. Ice machines worked great, elevators were secured as you needed keycard to use it. They had valet parking and an actual bellhop. The only thing that would have earned 5 stars is if they had a pool, which was disappointing that they do not. The restaurant on site, gave great portions of food, dessert were delicious and food was fairly priced. Was a great hotel. Would definitely go back. It was right next door to the aquarium and a 10 minute walk to the science museum.
Hotel was cozy but needed an update. No available plug outlets near the bed or on the lamps like other hotels. Room had 2 comfortable chair in there with a small table between them. Also a nice size table. Shower was separate from the tub. Tub was deep but not a jacuzzi. Shower was stopped up the entire stay Available restaurants and grab and go options. I was able to get pizza from the grab and go around 2 am which was nice. I liked that the hotel check in was right at the front entrance, i didnt have to search for it. My husband liked the craps tables where you play by yourself. The hotel's parking is across the street in a parking garage, but not too far. Overall we would stay here again Nearby activities: Near the aquarium and shopping
Nice lobby and elevators. Everything looked clean. Nice staff, very accommodating. The porter that helped with our bags was awesome. When we got to our room, it wasn't what you would expect after seeing the public areas. The shower had something all over the floor. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The metal pieces in the bathroom were rusty. Next to our bed, the alarm clock has an iPod dock that is crusty and sticky. I found this out when I tried to set the alarm, and unfortunately, I touched. I am picky about cleanliness, and this isn't the worst I have seen, but like I said before, you would have expected more because of the rest of the hotel. If you're traveling on a budget, this may be more than you want to pay. The casino is really nice. I would gamble here. It was a bit hard to find. We had to turn around once before we found the entrance.
We stayed here overnight for 4th of July 2 years ago in a high rollers suite. The room was very nice & big & had a nice view. We’ve never stayed at a casino hotel before so we didn’t really know what to expect. Wasn’t too bad, but expected more. We thought they were going to do a firework show, didn’t happen. The food at the restaurant we ate at was disgusting & the bill was $400. It wasn’t gourmet food so I know my taste buds weren’t in shock or anything. But my personal biggest let down was the idea of being in a supposed big, nice, expensive room reserved for people who spend the most in their casinos & then seeing trash & dust in the room. That’s just too pathetic. Come on now.
We stayed at this hotel two nights this week. Sadly, this hotel did not live up to the 4Stars it is rated. The room was not fully ready for us. We came in late but had called ahead to let them know. The lady on the phone was not friendly at all. The next day we had to ask for bath mats, as none were in the room. The coffee maker basket was missing as well. The freezer part of the mini fridge was broken and hanging down. Two of the lights in the bathroom were not working and the fan also did not work. The room was clean but one of the top sheets had a hole in it. The ceiling was stained. We ate at the only restaurant that was open during the week. The wait staff were nice. The food was just okay. The Caesar salad I had for dinner had some wilted lettuce in it. The “icing on the cake” was breakfast our last morning there. I ordered a Belgian waffle that was supposed to be topped with fresh fruit and whipped cream. What I got was a Belgian waffle with 5 blueberries and half a cut up strawberry and one tiny dollop of whip cream in the middle. When I asked the waitress for more berries, she went to talk to manager, came back and reported that was all they were allowed to put on the waffle. What a freaking joke! The overall staff was a mix of helpful and I don’t really want to help you. When we left in the morning and asked for a luggage cart, we were put on a list and asked to wait. We decided to just haul it down ourselves. Needless to say, I will not be choosing to stay at a Bally’s again.
Didn't stay in the hotel, but I have visited 4 times in the past month. Clean casino with all the table game options plus more slot machines than was able to count. Wish poker room was busier with more players, though. Overall, 5 stars and would recommend this casino in Shreveport better than others in town. Service: 5/5
