Electronic Business Machines History -
IBM C.E. Carl Jason Jr started Electronic Business Machines, Inc. as an office machine dealership in 1970. The lab division was introduced in 1982 with the invention of the MTU Unit that was marketed under the Olivetti and Adler-Royal brand names. The continued expansion led to Board Repair, Parts, Tech Support, and a complete machine refurbish program for those manufactures as well as IBM, Xerox and Panasonic.
Lexmark was spun off from IBM in 1992, and our location near them in Lexington, KY made it possible for us to make them one of our primary focuses. We were made a Typewriter Distributor in 1995, appointed a supply reseller shortly thereafter and rewarded with 1 of only 10 Printer distributorships in the U.S. Our ability to support a product from it’s inception to the end of life makes us unique in the industry.
While growing our distribution business we have maintained a successful retail dealership offering, Lexmark Printers, Panasonic Copiers, Okidata Fax and Philips Dictation Machines. Selling these products as well as maintaining a 17 tech service department allows us to provide you the reseller or the end user insight on the competitive products you may not get from other dealerships.
In 2001 we became an E.S.O.P. corporation that only enhanced the level of support and service the employees who are now owners are able to give. We would like the opportunity to earn your business and prove that EBM is truly a World Class leader in the industry.
