Our experience at this bakery was absolutely delightful. From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the warm and inviting atmosphere. To top off our experience, we couldn't resist trying the passion fruit coconut puff. This delightful treat was nothing short of heavenly. The delicate balance between the sweet and sour notes was a true testament to the bakery's culinary expertise. In summary, we can't say enough good things about this bakery. It has quickly become one of our favorite spots, thanks to its exceptional service, delectable offerings, and inviting ambiance. Whether you're looking for a satisfying breakfast or a delightful treat, this bakery has it all. Highly recommended!
The Orange Chocolate and Cranberry Scones, Danishes, Mango Cheesecake, Lemon Poppyseed Muffin and the Apple Tart were all delicious. The Almond Croissant was good, but I wouldn't repeat the Tiramisu not much flavor and a bit dry. And, there were many more choices that caught my eye for next time. This place has been on my list for ages, and I finally got there to grab some bakery items. I have to try their lunch though. The sandwiches look delicious. Like a fried chicken sandwich with jalapeño slaw. The workers were super sweet and helpful. I will be back soon.
Love this place for breakfast and lunch. It's never too busy though there might be a line at lunch time. A small seating area inside and upstairs and more seating outside. The food is very fresh and the lavender latte is my favorite.
WOW! I can't believe that this place was not talked about! One of the best BLTs I have ever eaten! They even come with homemade potato chips! Definitely worth the price! The Matcha drink was also amazing!
I love their Mexican mocha coffee! So yummy! The breakfast burrito and the avocado toast are favorites as well. Their bread and pastries are divine! I visit Poway regularly, and this is always a stop of mine. So good!
Visited this bakery for the first time this year. I have been here maybe about 10 times. My husband wanted pancake this morning. Surprised to see prices went up on the menu. We had a cup of tomato basil soup$6.95, O’Brien’s Specialty Brioche Breakfast Sandwich$14.50, and pancakes with blueberry and banana$11.50 and Café Au Lait$3.95. Also a lemon tart$5.50 to take home. The braised beef short rib in the sandwich was a little too salty but otherwise tasty. It was a little pricy for what I got. Lemon Tart, I think in our neighborhood, French Oven makes better ones. I will come back to try other pastries.
Been to O’Brien twice within 2 weeks. Loved it! The store is clean. Employees at the counter are super patient and friendly. Food is yummy!!! We really like everything we ordered: cheeses danish, flourless chocolate cake, the OB Prime Rib Philly Cheese Steak, breakfast burrito and the breads! Very fresh and good quality! It is a 20 minutes drive to the place but we liked it so much and will return with friends and family.
Passed by here many times on the way to Costco and finally had the chance to stop by. Oh boy, this place is massive! Outdoor seating and two stories! I was overwhelmed by the aroma of coffee and pastries and my eyes lit up so wide with all the choices! I wasn’t impressed with their drinks but loved the pastries! They serve breakfast, lunch, brunch, thanksgiving orders and daily soups! We got lavender latte and horchata cold brew for drinks. I’ve had better lavender latte. It tasted weak and very faint espresso and lavender. Horchata cold brew was not overly sweet but it tasted watered down, perhaps due to the ice. We picked up chocolate croissant, pistachio almond croissant, coffee cake, blueberry scone, apple galette and tiramisu. All very tasted. My favorite was the pistachio almond croissant and coffee cake.
We picked up their herb and cheese bread, plus assorted pastries. Everything was beautiful, fresh and delicious. This is the type of place you expect to find in a tourist area and not nestled between industrial complexes. We will definitely come back. All the food looked beautiful and they also serve beer and wine.
This is my favorite place to get soup. The service is always excellent! Today, 6-2-2023, they have a shrimp corn chowder soup that is amazing! 5 stars! The shrimp was plenty and not rubbery like other places. Flavor on point and of course excellent bread!
