Elk Grove Village Public Library

The staff is friendly, they offer a variety of fun programs, they have a great selection of books, and a very welcoming environment.

In general, everything is good in this library. good staff, always comfortable to be there. I would like more services for adults, like English courses or history lessons or something else that other libraries have.

Update: now a fine free library, which I love. Collect still large and always growing. Borrowing issues I mentioned before seem to be resolved. Great collection but they have many problems with properly tracking returns and damages, blaming the borrower instead of themselves.

I no longer live in Illinois, but I want to express how appreciative I am of this library. I was a member there for over 3 years. Their collection is extensive. The interior has tall ceilings and spacious, clean areas all around. The youth section became like a second home to our family. They offered wonderful programs for kids and we greatly missed them after the shutdown due to Covid. And now, we miss this library dearly, as our current local library pales in comparison. This library is a gem.

Elk Grove Village Library is one of my favorite places to go in town. The atmosphere is calming and relaxing. You can grab a coffee across the street and sit in the library with a good read. The windows provide natural lighting and a beautiful scenery. They offer a great variety of books, digital magazines, music, movies and a hold service.

Elk public library youth service plays a important role in my 4 yr old daughter learning module. As myself a great lover of the programs organized by Miss Diannestory lab, Mini Mad science.... and Miss Courtney alphabet soup...., I won't miss these programs. Other good thing about this library is that I do not belong to elk grove community, still they allow me and my kid to attend all the programs. Thanks to elk grove public library youth service department. The books in the kids section were very well organized. It will be in such a way that kids can find themselves their interesting books and pick to read.

The Elk Grove Village Public Library is a place to take anyone of any age to have fun, read, discover new things, checkout books, movies, games, and so much more. I love the programs they offer for kids all the way up to adults.

Great Staff, clean, and convenient. Though there is a problem with games and DVD, for the Xbox at least,, the games don't fully fit into the drive. Which could potentially damage the disc or Xbox itself. Update: The disc broke my xbox, which doesn't completely ruin it, but now no disks will work in my xbox. Update 2: After restarting my Xbox, I could use discs again, however I do not recommend using a video game disc from the library.
