Elks lodge in Newport is a Beautiful bldg on Broadway . Saturday night the best bartender Colene works and is worth seeing as she is breath of sunshine! Music on Friday nights . Join Elks 104 .... They do such great things for the community!
Good food and a good time
Elks members were very welcoming
Not sure if you need to be a member, i went with members but I don't think they ask. Big bar plenty of seats, sports on TV. Outdoor patio just constructed and they had Sam Adams in the bottle
I had my wedding here on Saturday. Maria the event manager and Dan the facilities manager were wonderful to deal with. I am from out of town and they made wedding planning for their location a breeze. The lodge itself has a great old house feel to it and is quite large! The honor room was an absolutely GORGEOUS setting for our ceremony. Maria helped set up and break down and help us with anything we needed on the Friday before the wedding. Now let's talk food. I was BLOWN AWAY with the quality of the food. Lets face it .You go to a wedding and the food is kind of bland but you weren't expecting the most fabulous meal you've ever had because. The food provided by Newport Island Catering at the Elks was by far and away the best food I have had. Ever. The steak was cooked to perfection and it was a generous portion and a great cut. The fish was perfect and flaky and served in an amazing lemon butter sauce. The chicken was moist and tender. The appetizers were amazing too I wish I had been able to snag more of those! The only bad comment I have which isn't truly the elk's fault is that we had some elderly crashers who ate our appetizers, ordered from our open bar and came in to the reception room to dance. The elk's couldn't have known that they weren't with us and weddings can be confusing for the people involved i assumed they were part of his family and he assumed they were part of mine . All in all, a really spectacular night and I am so grateful to Maria who was the real MVP of the night and her staff. I wish we lived closer so we could come back for dinner every week!
The Elks in Newport wouldn't let us have a drink outside when nobody was outside because we have 2 small dogs. I've been an Elks member for 19 years, never been treated so poorly. The committee member making the decision is getting drunk at the bar probably on free drinks while the place is going to hell. There's black ants everywhere outside, the deck is a mess and falling apart and they are so rude. They just lost several hundred dollars today and we were planning on coming here on Saturday with 10 friends so they actually just lost several thousand. So sad and pathetic. Don't come here unless you're a drunk lover committee member who wants to run the place into the ground. Heading to the Clarke Cook House where the food is fantastic, the service is even better, the people are so nice not getting drunk at the bar being nasty to fellow members of 19 years and of course our dogs Prince and Charlie are always welcome!
Tough parking as it's shared with next door Serenity Inn.
The Elks is a nice venue for a party. It is in a convenient location, and has an accommodating staff. I loved the beautiful , ornate, gilded and gigantic mirrors that adorned each wall of the room. The mirrors gave the room a touch of elegance. Also, there is a large parkiing lot for your convenience.
Beautiful Lodge, friendly members.
Beautiful location, great wine, great entertainment. A fun, safe place to be by yourself or to run into friends.
