I recently had the pleasure of visiting Wharf’s Southern Kitchen, and I must say, it was an experience worth every moment. The bartender was the true highlight, going above and beyond to create an unforgettable dining experience. Their skill in crafting drinks and their engaging demeanor added an extra layer of enjoyment to my visit. I can’t wait to return for more exceptional moments at Wharf’s Southern Kitchen!
Our waitress Lauren was busy but still attentive. The BBQ ribs appetizer was absolutely delicious! Seafood chowder and Lobster Mac & Cheese were good. My margarita was good enough to have two!Food: 5/5
Went with friends for the first time and heard about the tater tots but I have to say they were nothing special, very bland and in dire need of seasoning. I did enjoy the hush puppies but one of our friend thought they were undercooked. What I was truly disappointed with was the Seafood Chowder; I grew up in Rhode Island and was shocked how bland it tasted and would prefer my chowder without corn. I really enjoyed the Whiskey Peach Tea and thought the service was impeccable.
One of the best options to eat at the Wharf. They have the option to eat outside or inside with A/C. The location is fantastic. They have plenty of options to eat and a massive selection of drinks. The service was great and quick.Food: 5/5
Was amazing food, waitress was helpful in customizing my chicken and waffle to a none spice honey. Wife absolutely loved the all American hamburger . Small seating area but they make the best use of space they had.Food: 5/5
I rarely give bad reviews, but this is just the case. It started with the service - the restaurant was almost empty, but we had to wait for anyone from the staff to pay attention to us, to be seated. I had to go upstairs to find someone to ask for it. And only when another lady after us did the same - a girl appeared and seated both parties. Meanwhile she exhibited clear annoyance . Meanwhile we noticed 3 other staff members chatting or hanging out yawning on the stairs. So this is clearly not the case of being understaffed, but bad management. They have a good selection of drafts, and that added 1 star to the rating. As for the food it was average at best. The kids cheeseburger was plain inedible - overcooked, even hard to bite! Lobster roll had plenty of flavor but too little lobster meat and the meat was somehow too crunchy and chewy. Definitely not worth $30. My fish and chips was so-so. Although I really liked the sauce it couldn't compensate for the blandness of the fish. The best part was their clam chowder - quite original, plenty of salmon and smokiness from bacon.
There were 10 of us and we couldn’t find a place in rush hour. At this place we were immediately seated. The drinks were amazing! Beer tasted fresh, ciders were great. All food was fresh and tasted deliciously. We tried lobster roll, local fish and chips, seafood jambalaya, mac&cheese, chicken tenders and a steak. Would be happy to visit it again if I’m around.
My wife and I love the Wharf Pub. We try to swing in here for at least a beer every time we visit Newport. Known for their tater tots they do not disappoint. Several menu options are top notch and the beer selection is surprisingly wide given it's a bit of a whiskey bar. We love it here!Food: 5/5
Came for Sunday brunch and it didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere is fun and it was decorated for Halloween. Food is delicious and our server was attentive and friendly. There is only 1 brunch menu option for kids called The Little Rancher, but it’s a full plate with waffles, scrambled eggs, fruit and tater tots.
Ended up here after trying to take a bachelor party to Diego's where the wait was gonna be several hours for 9 no shade, that's what happens when you're popular. The Diego's hostess suggested we try Wharf since it's their sister restaurant. Walked across and the Wharf hostess was great. She got us in at the long table by the bar upstairs right away. The food was solid and the drinks were really good, but the real reason for 5 stars was our waitress, Bliss. When I tell you this woman was hustling, she was MOVING. She was taking orders, running dishes from tables downstairs, dropping off food, sprinting over to Diego's for supplies and back again, checking on several other tables, getting the baby at the booth behind us to laugh, stopping to check on us, and just generally doing work all over the building. All while providing excellent banter and amazing service. Bliss was phenomenal. Exceptional. 11/10, would absolutely bring another bachelor party to Wharf and have Bliss as our waitress again.
