Great course, clean and well kept. $48 for a 18 hole run and $4 cheddar dog. Great deal!
Driving range was a bit narrow but there are natural and artificial turf. Golf course is in great shape. Back 9 is more challenging than the front. Clubhouse is new and has tall windows all around for great views. Overall, a great course.
I am not from this state nor do I live here. I was traveling for business and was referred to this course by some co-workers. This course was beautiful! the clubhouse is brand new and absolutely stunning. The staff was super friendly and the course was in great shape! I remember saying to the guy I was golfing with on every hole how well kept the tee boxes were as well as the greens! what an excellent public course and great price! highly recommend!
Great course that’s been around for years. I like that each 9 is a little different than the other, good variety. The only challenge is the power lines on some holes
Ellis Golf course is a Cedar Rapids gem !!! I’ve only lived in Cedar Rapids a few years and never played Ellis before. Boy was I missing out. Course was in EXCELLENT shape and was very challenging. The new clubhouse is beautiful and I would highly recommend this course for all players of all skill levels.
Very fun course and was in great shape for early Spring. Course staff was courteous and offered helpful tips a first time players.
Clubhouse has been recently renovated completed in June of 2022. As of August 2022 the course was in very good shape. Fairways were well manicured and greens we're in very good condition. I've played this course for the last 20 years and this is the best shape I have seen it in.
Have played several rounds of golf here and continue to be impressed by the club like experience on a city course. Brand new clubhouse offering a fresh new life after the derecho took away some of the original beauty. The back half is beautiful and challenging , so if you only have time for 9 start there when possible. The staff take a lot of pride in this course and it shows.
Good golfers will like this place.Staff is friendly and they have Arnold Palmer's. And the new clubhouse is awesome. Your host and pro is Mark, good teacher.
Probably the last week or so they have been areating rhe greens, poked lots of holes some were filled with sand and some were just half inch deep holes, and very bumpy you can not putt the ball straight at all no matter what you do and how level is the green. Terrible, i was very disapointed with that. Please fix the greens if you want people to enjoy the game.
