Nice hotel in a very convenient part of town, with at least five eateries within a couple of blocks of walking distance. The free bar drink tickets are very much appreciated! The hotel takes pets, so we traveled for a week with our dog and it was a wonderful experience. One thing to note, as with most city hotels there is no DIY parking, only valet, and it is $25 a night. Those guys work hard and are busy, so it is usually a five or even ten minute wait to get your car back. Breakfast was free and excellent, there is someone available to make you fresh eggs for an omelette, plus all the usual breakfast fare like waffles, oatmeal, sausage, and lots of coffee. We really enjoyed our stay and would return again! Walkability: Very walkable, within a few blocks of many eateries and bars.
This property is situated at a great location. Our suite was spacious and clean. Service did not meet our expectation. It lacked courtesy. The valet guy kept telling us to move our vehicle towards the exit as his manager would not like it even if it would be inconvenient to climb the slope with all the luggage. There was no trolley or cart available to transfer our luggage and we had to check every floor to see if there’s a spare cart which can use.
A nice hotel with a swimming pool and a breakfast room. The complimentary drinks were a nice treat! Unfortunately they run out of gluten free bread for breakfast. Receptionists and personal at the bar were very friendly and professional.Rooms: 4/5
Stayed here for 4 days. We had an amazing experience at the hotel The staff was extremely nice and the complimentary evening reception and free breakfast were an added bonus and much appreciated. The rooms were very large and clean with the most comfortable beds. However, the pool was small and the water was cold that it was not enjoyable.
I stayed at this hotel between July 3-8, 2023. The room was not cleaned, hair was all over the pillow covers, sheets, and linens. There were thick layers of dust on light fixtures and surfaces. The linens were not changed after the previous customer checked out. The hotel changed the linens after I complained, and they performed deep cleaning two days later. There were no double bed room available that I can move to in order to avoid all of the hassle and inconvenience. Requested to speak to the hotel manager, however, he never reached out to me or contacted me to apologize and hear out my serious complaint. To my surprise, other customers have complained about the same issues recently!!! I doubt I would ever stay again at this hotel and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone else. Hilton needs to inspect and audit this hotel to ensure they uphold the Hilton standards for cleanliness and customer service. Rooms: Dirty covered with dust, hair all over, and dirty linens
Nice on outside and nice lobby. Rooms can be renovated. Throughout the hotel. I just got here today and I'm looking for a new hotel. Toilet was not properly cleaned. The ceiling has leaks. Doors not cleaned. And room service for cleaning could be better. On top of that.. the hotel room service for the restaurant doesn't charge to room. Totally disappointed in the embassy of dwntwn Buffalo. Will not recommend.
There is so much to be said about this hotel. Quite possibly the worst hotel I've ever stayed at in my life. How this atrocity of a hotel is connected to a prestigious chain like Hilton Hotels is beyond me. First. The room was absolutely disgusting. The toilet had hair on it, and very clearly left unclean prior to our arrival. Second, the room itself was SO dirty. Stains all over the couches and chairs! It had a disgusting smell to it the entire time we were there, very clearly a result of never cleaning it properly after guests. Third, the previous guests garbage was left in the room! Including clothing bags, chips all over the floor, and drug paraphernalia. I'd expect this at a truck stop inn, not a place bearing the Hilton name. If I had my way I'd shut this whole operation down. Finally, their treatment of guests is abhorrent. We were in town for my wifes bar exam, and we were told we booked 4 nights I have the itinerary and were later told we are supposed to check out on the third night by 5pm! We spoke to the staff and asked to give us an extra night as my wife hadn't finished her examination yet. Only to be called at 6pm and told to leave as "other guests are waiting". In short, this place is an absolute hole and I would not recommend my worst enemy to stay here. The fact that it is still operational and has the Hilton name is frankly a black smudge on Hilton. Rooms: Room was SO dirty. Stains all over the couches and chairs! It had a disgusting smell to it the entire time we were there, very clearly a result of never cleaning it properly after guests. The previous guests garbage was left in the room! Including clothing bags, chips all over the floor, and drug paraphernalia! Completely unacceptable and in a state where recreational drugs remain illegal, this place should be shut down.
Rooms were not properly cleaned, filthy and smelled like mold. Staff was welcoming. Breakfast was okay. Never again at this hotel..no room upgrade unless you pay extra although as a diamond member its an offered benefit.Rooms: 1/5
I booked a room for my mom and sister who are both nervous travellers. I check in with them Saturday night. Sunday morning my sister discovered her phone didn't charge. The port broke. So she has no way to call me or get gps to my house. She goes downstairs to the clerk who tells her the phones at the hotel don't dial out. She asked to use his phone to call me, but he refused. At this point she's stressing out. She begs the guy for directions. He ends up sending her the wrong way. So my elderly mother and anxiety ridden sister are now wandering downtown Buffalo lost. Eventually they found a parked Uber driver who took pity on them. My sister was crying when she arrived at my house. This place failed to keep their guests safe. The room was fine.
I had a good stay overall at the Embassy Suites. It’s in a central area with easy walking distance to many bars and restaurants. The rooms include a large living area and a sizable bedroom and bathroom. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast is included and has an omelette bar each day. The gym is basic, with a few cardio machines, free weights and a cable machine. The happy hour each day from 5-6:30 was a really nice touch. They offer two free drinks with choices of select beer, wine, and well liquors. The bar itself is very good, with an attentive and friendly staff. It serves good food and has several good local beer choices. I have a few criticisms overall: The pool is not operational and apparently hasn’t been for some time. There doesn’t appear to be any immediate plans for it to reopen, which is a shame as it would be a nice supplement to their gym. They do not offer any self parking. The valet drivers on site are very attentive, but valet is the only option at a rather steep $25 a night. Lastly, their housekeeping policy could use some work. The hotel does not clean the rooms each day. At check in you’re informed that housekeeping will provide service every fourth day, but if you need anything, to ask. That might not be a problem for anyone staying just a night or two, but for anything longer than that, towels quickly run out and trash quickly piles up. Calling downstairs for every little thing is a major inconvenience. There was more than one occasion when I called, and the wrong items arrived, or that nothing arrived at all. Overall though, it was a good stay, and I’d go back.
