The Embassy is the principal representative of the Government of Trinidad and Tobago in the conduct of relations with the Government of the United States of America.
Among the services provided are the promotion of trade, investment, tourism, passport, visa and consular services, including assistance to nationals, legalizing documents, verifying the authenticity of medical certificates, interviewing applicants for permanent residence in Trinidad and Tobago, interviewing, checking applications from former nationals who are applying for restoration of Trinidad and Tobago citizenship and verification of documents pertaining to the shipment of human remains.
Additionally, Trinidad and Tobago nationals visiting or residing in the US are encouraged to register with the Embassy. This can be done via the website https://register.foreign.gov.tt/ or in-person at the Embassy.
