Location is great! Stayed there for almost a week. Room looked clean but had a funny smell like when something is old. My view was great, everything I needed was in the room. I would have liked an extra trash can since I only could find 2 bathroom and next to the mini kitchen and I never used that area. The toilet was slow to flush and there was one day that the water coming out of it smelled funky. The TV took a bit to load and they mainly had sports, Economy and news channels. Breakfast... was great! Same as their tickets for drinks.
Pros: LOCATION, close to several restaurants, shopping, and easy highway access, staff were lovely, great atrium, my daughter loved the elevator, free happy hour and snack, awesome breakfast, plenty of free parking, room was very clean Cons: the hotel is definitely showing its age, some upgrades could really improve the overall experience, a bit musty smelling, bathroom is tiny, ceiling is low, room just felt cramped, bed was very uncomfortable and hurt my back, pillows were lumpy and need to be replaced Overall not a bad hotel, if you're in town for the location and not spending a ton of time in the room, you'll love it. We have small children so we used the room more and weren't impressed. The pool looked amazing, but we didn't have time to use it.
We had above and beyond service! Front desk is so helpful and the place was quite and nice. My room itself wasn't great but I'm sure there were others that are better.Rooms: 2/5
I chose to stay at this hotel because they had an indoor poolso my toddler can swim and free breakfast. I was a little disappointed in both. It was a raining and cold in Denver when I was there, and the indoor pool was freezing cold. Me and my one year-old were so cold the entire time we were in the water. There are some parts of the pool that felt warm but it was really hard to get comfortable. The thermostat to the room heater was set to 59 degrees every day. Even though it was 60 degrees outside You could feel the cold air from the outside. I requested multiple times that they change the thermostat closer to 70 and they kept saying they would send someone over. I feel like this should be adjusted every day based on the weather, it takes less than a minute to do. When it came to breakfast, the coffee was okay and the potatoes tasted like they were reheated from the day before. Rooms were outdated and toilet was very slow at flushing. Overall, this location is great if you want to just enjoy happy hour, and explore Denver and spend very little time in the room. If you are traveling with kids, I would recommend staying at a different embassy location so they can swim in comfort. On the positive side, the waffles were great and happy hour was nice.
I stayed here for 2 nights. It's a great hotel. I always enjoy staying at Embassy Suites. They give you free drink tickets you can use during specific hours. The bar restaurant had good food. The morning breakfast has options, including cold/self-serve items and made to order. Their breakfast is really good. Rooms: I really like how their rooms are set up. It's like a 1 bedroom apartment with a separate living room.
Love staying at ES, which usually has great rooms. This one...not so much. The rooms are very dated and in need updating. I noticed lots of damage to furniture, and I don't know why either the manager and/or the maintenance supervisor don't just do a cursory walk thru in each room to check on issues. It's the small things, y'all, that make a difference between a great or not so great stay. And why not train the cleaning staff to report blatant problems...such as a cabinet door that doesn't close or a faucet that's loose. It ain't rocket surgery! Rooms: In desperate need of updating!
We stayed at this hotel after a power outage at another at the Hampton Inn and Suites. We arrived late, but the staff was very accommodating. Unfortunately we missed the nightly 5-7 reception. The breakfast was terrific. Omelets on order, hash browns, waffles, French toast and anything else you can think of. All rooms are suites. They have a living room attached with plenty of sitting, kitchen table and they provide snacks. It's these little things that make all the difference. It also helps to have a great staff. Kudos to Jesse K for helping us get a reservation! Next time I am in Denver I will definitely stay here!
We stayed at the hotel recently as a family because my husband was attending a conference at the hotel. Our experience was pretty mixed. The lobby and common areas are nicely done and have been updated. The rooms, however, are older and could use some updates. They were clean though and had a good amount of space. For being in the Tech Center, the hotel's technology was extremely outdated. The TV was ancient and took forever to turn on and load channels. They had not one kids channel available. The outlet on the lamp on the nightstand wouldn't allow a phone to be plugged in unless you moved the lamp all the way to the edge so the phone charger could hang over the edge. There were two large groups while we were at the hotel, one of which was boys hockey teams, and the hotel did not enforce quiet hours. Because all the rooms open to the atrium, sound echos and near midnight there were boys running around the halls and yelling. The pool is small and we went down to swim and promptly left because there were so many people in the pool that there was no where to get in. Kids were rowdy and splashing water everywhere and the pool literally looked like a wave pool. I was literally afraid my younger child who isn't a strong swimmer would drown. We went back to the pool the next morning when it was calmer and there were no pool towels. The pool water was dirty and cloudy. I called the front desk from the pool because my kids were already swimming and I couldn't leave them to walk to the front desk and she said that housekeeping had already been notified that they needed to bring towels but that she was alone at the desk and could not come over with towels. We were at the pool for 90 minutes and no one ever brought towels. I walked by the front desk on our way back to our room and there were two hotel employees at the front desk. One of them could have walked to the pool with towels as soon as a 2nd person was at the front desk. 90 minutes should have been plenty of time for housekeeping to bring a stack of towels to the pool. I was also disappointed that they filled in the hot tub! For a conference hotel in the Tech Center, a hot tub is a great way to relax after a long day of meetings! The free breakfast had a good variety with a lot of hot options which was nice. My one complaint about the breakfast was that the dining area was filthy. I never saw an employee wipe down tables once during the time we were at breakfast, and we lingered for awhile. There was food spilled on the floor, trash left behind on the tables, food crumbs and drink spills on the tables. The only time I saw someone wipe down tables was when breakfast was over and they were cleaning up to close down the breakfast area.
Great service the Breakfast is ubo e average the chefs make cook to order omelets hash browns and other breakfast treats...the Homemade salas is very good not spicy but very flavorful... The rooms are spacious a bit pricy but it's what u pay for. Evening happy hour at the bar is a nice way to start your evening...Rooms: 4/5
