I came here for work for 2 nights. Rooms are spacious, comfy beds, great patio and you can see the ocean. Gorgeous. I went in Dec so the outdoor pool was not open but I definitely want to bring my little girl in the summer. They have a huge water park along with a big area for young toddler's and babies. Staff is amazing. And you get the happy hour drinks in the evening. Will definitely be back!
This place is very nice and clean. The rooms are spacious and the staff is very friendly. The bell hop was very friendly and helped tremendously, such a great touch. The one complaint i have is the restaurant is very pricey. I order 6 wings and a beer and it was $25. The wings were $16 and the beer was $7 before taxes. Can't say I will go back there again, wings were just okay. Every room has a view of the ocean which is very nice. I would stay here again.
We stayed at the Embassy Suites for a weekend trip. The Embassy is located in the Kingston Plantation at Myrtle Beach. You must enter by the way of a security gate. in the evenings coming back onto the grounds there was a brief line of cars, but it moved pretty quick. The process for check-in was easy and they had four people working so the wait was not long. The Hilton app offers check-in, and you can pick your room too. You do have access to the new pool area that looks amazing as well as the pool down the beach at the Hilton. The sign on gate at the new pool deck indicated it closes at dusk, the area has the hot tub, fire pits and comfy chaise chairs that would be nice to use in the evenings to chill, but it is closed. The refurbished room was very nice. The room is very spacious with a great view of the beach. The carpet, furniture and beds looked brand new. The decor was that of grays and the modern look for the couch, tables and chairs. It did look very pretty. One of the most important aspects in terms of feeling comfortable was the room was very clean and felt inviting when we entered. We had a queen premium suite facing the pier, so the balcony received the afternoon sun which we enjoy. We did enjoy the breakfast and it was very good. The staff were very attentive and friendly. They worked hard to keep everything stocked and tables cleaned and cleared for others. Each evening, there is a manger's reception; however, we did not make it to the reception, but it did look well attended. My only complaint is about the $408.00 hold on my credit card for incidentals. This translates to $136.00 per day that were we there. The hotel had my credit card that could be charged if I put anything on my room as a charge but instead the lump sum appeared as a pending charge. This required me to contact the hotel to inquiry about the pending charge and to monitor my card to ensure that pending charge did indeed fall off. It did drop off as a charge two days after being home. I thought the amount was a bit excessive for a 3-night stay. Reason for 4 stars, required follow-up after my return home Just a note, the Embassy does charge a $30.00 resort fee and $ 9.99 parking fee so $39.99 per day but this is pretty typical for hotels. We really enjoyed our weekend stay at the Embassy. The location, nice rooms, views of the beach, easy access to the beach, breakfast, evening reception and other amenities, I would highly recommend staying at the Embassy.
Embassy suites was a great place to stay & the property was beautiful. Every night from 5:30-7 they have a complimentary happy hour & snacks which was fantastic. There is a Starbucks in the lobby which was such an added benefit for me. Overall the staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, the pool is big and has waiters/waitresses who come around & the beach area is gorgeous! Would recommend to a friend
Enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean, free hot breakfast was nice. Water park for kids opened 2 days upon our arrival, had a blast! Beach wasn't too crowded. Will definitely come back. I would highly recommend.
We have been coming here for about 15 years with great experiences. On the positive side, the room upgrades are nice. The breakfast buffet and happy hour are still good. On the downside, the staff this year was rude. Also, the entire pool deck and kids water park was closed. We were not informed until 2 weeks before our stay. They knew it was delayed in August. I feel like they should have contacted guests with updates as soon as there were delays. Also, the closed circuit TV firthe conference was not working. Also, they have placed a black mesh across the entire oceanfront balcony "for safety". It is cheap plastic with zip ties. It looks terrible and obstructs the view unless you are standing.
Beautiful but Buggy.... I booked the hotel in celebration of my 50th birthday and Thanksgiving weekend. Boy was I impressed by the entrance into the hotel on Kingston Plantation. Check-in process was easy, staff was friendly and helpful. Upon arriving at my room and opening the door, there was a small bugroach attempting to make an exit. OK killed it no big deal but as the night went on - there was more bugs along the kitchen sink and on the bedroom dresser. Live I might add. The decor was beautiful, the view was amazing from our room and I did not want to leave. I went to the front desk with pics of the problem and was moved to another room 3 floors up with the same view. I was relieved thinking the problem was solved. Nope!! Upon entering, there was a live bug in the sink area. At this time, the uninvited guests won....I'm leaving and hit the road for a 4 hour drive back home. I must say, the hotel was beautiful, breakfast was delicious but I did not feel comfortable staying with the bugs and definitely did not want to bring them home with me.
Great location with ocean view. The hotel provides free shuttle for round trip to any location the 2 miles reduces which includes several local restaurants. Breakfast was included and the menu could satisfy people with different food preferences and food restrictions. We definitely visit this hotel again. Some suggestions: Front desk Reception could be more friendly, smile more and provide more accurate information about the hotel.
The embassy is good and all but it was some things that could've been better. The rooms need to be cleaned up early I would suggest anybody that's checking in to check their room thoroughly as especially the bedding because my room has red stains on the bed unfortunately the house keeping staff wasn't working during my stay Ocean view and oceanfront is two different things also the pool and the breakfast is probably the best part of this hotel my heat did not work in my room and had to be repaired during my stay the engineer who came to fix my heat was well knowledge and very nice
While the place has many nice new renovations the staff is lacking. Check out is at 11am and is posted everywhere, however, at 9am the day of our check out housekeeping knocked on our door to clean it for the next guest. My friend was there to say we are not checked out yet. I would not have thought twice about this except one other guest told me while she was attending the conference, housekeeping came in before 10am and cleared her things out. They had put them in lost and found. Upsetting to say the least. Most everyone is pleasant but not in tune. Concierge is unaware about the umbrella rentals or who anyone else was on staff, event directors give out phone numbers that go to no where, and some of the people in the conference were given rooms villas that were dirty and unattractive. The catering and AV staff for the conference, however, were helpful. I did enjoy that it is a family oriented resort but watch out for the crowded elevators. I got stuck on one due to overcrowding but was rescued after 10 minutes.
