Wow. As a fellow candle-lover I can honestly say this place was exceptional. The ladies who were staffed that day was very helpful and informative throughout our session. Just a heads up waiting time for the candle to be done is 2+ hours. Jars and spray bottles are a bit pricey but definitely worth it. Loved ever bit of this experience.
This was my first time at Embers and it was so much fun picking out my favorite scents then mixing them together to create a candle! It was a very cool experience, I had fun! I love how they recycle your candles after you've burned through them! I highly recommend! The ladies there were awesome and so helpful!
Really unique and fun date idea! They have a huge wall of fragrance options to choose from and a nice selection of candle jars. You pay based off how fancy/large of a candle jar you choose. You pick your fragrance oils they recommend 2-4 total and mix them to your liking. Then you pour them into the hot wax, stir for 2 minutes and then let it set! You even customize a sticker for the bottom of the candle and put whatever you want: candle name, scents used, date.... We picked up our finished candles the next day.
A lovely selection of smells and beautiful containers. My wife and I had a date night making a pair of candles. Pricy, but pretty fun and worthwhile.
EMBERS CANDLE BAR is AMAZING....the whole concept is interactive and enjoyable, relaxing and memorable for a small group of ladies out for lunch or brunch. The scents are great the customer service is wonderful very comfortable atmosphere. They offer a military discount. They also have a discounted section for your more tropical and summer scents. I would HIGHLY re commend stopping in EMBERS. Thank you for wonderful experience. Just picked up.my candle and the smell is AMAZING I cant wait to burn it....THANK YOU AGAIN
Embers is a hidden gem in downtown Lee’s Summit that allows visitors to combine a variety of scented oils into a custom-scented candle. The oils are wonderfully authentic and interesting to test as you’re deciding which ones to include in your candle. The all-inclusive amount for a finished candle is a little pricey average size candle is $28, but the experience is worth at least one visit.
My friends and I had so much fun doing this. You choose whatever scents you want to include and mix the scent yourself. You then choose what container you want and the container price is the price of the entire thing. The wax is poured and finished up by the staff. They take 1.5 to 2.5 hours to set depending on candle size. I think the smallest was 8 oz and largest was 15 or 16 oz. Mine was the larger container and has two wicks. We hung out in downtown LS until they set. Great staff and good hang out activity.
I love this place! I have been there twice and each of my experiences were good. My candles are awesome. Definitely will go back.
For $50 I expected candles with more scent to them. All I smell is the “wax” and a faint hint of the 4 oils put into each candle. And to have to come back an hour later isn’t conducive to repeating the experience. You need to add wine/cheese and something else to give the customer something to do while they wait.
What a neat idea!! I was walking down the sidewalk and saw a sign outside of their door advertising some make-your-own candles. The idea is so novel and fun that my friend and I popped in to give it a look. Glad we did! The candle scents available vary from fresh snow to champagne and everything in between! If their sleek looking candles don’t catch your fancy or the scents leave you wanting more/ a mix then you have the opportunity to pour your own custom candle! The cinnamon & honeycrisp candle we made was phenomenal, affordable, and only took a couple hours to dry before we could take it home. I definitely suggest this little nook of a store.
