Emmett's Palatine

About

Brewery & Restaurant located Downtown Palatine near the Metra Train Station. Upscale Casual Fare & Award Winning Handcrafted Beer

Description

At Emmett's, we consider ourselves "traditional brewers". That means we use only traditional ingredients - water, malt, hops and yeast. We pride ourselves on giving you the best example of traditional beer styles, and spare no expense in doing so. When you try a German Pilsener or an English Pale Ale at Emmett's, we guarantee your pint will be as close to the original as you can get (without actually getting on a plane and flying across the pond!)
Brewing world-class beer starts with the right ingredients. We import all our ingredients from the country of origin, according to the style of beer we are brewing. In today's global economy, we are blessed with the opportunity to obtain the finest ingredients from all over the world. Being able to order a traditional Belgian yeast strain, fresh picked hops from Germany, or the finest malt on the planet from England makes our finished product stand out above the rest. It costs more to brew beer that way, but our reputation rides on every pint. Maybe that's why Emmett's has been recognized locally, nationally and internationally with prestigious awards for our fine handcrafted beers.

Distinct, traditional recipes created with only the best ingredients produces a superior product. Our goal is to ensure that product reaches you in absolute pristine condition. On our brewery tours we always say, "From grain to glass is 40 feet". What that means is, the entire process of brewing, fermenting, conditioning, filtering and serving our beer all happens in that short distance. It can't get any fresher! Beer is always best at its source, and brewing in small batches assures you that every pint of Emmett's Ale House beer will be fresh, traditional and delicious.

Conveniently located right by a Metra stop. I ate outside and it was a bit loud but didn't last long. I had a delicious Brussels Sprouts Salad with chicken. Great flavors!
Great experience. I had the Shrimp Boursin Pasta. Wow! Our group of 6 was all so happy with the food, presentation, and our server was on the ball. I will say that the portion, especially for pasta, was very small. Our group agreed that is was ....
I have family members who like this place but I'm not sure why. The service on a Sunday night was horribly slow even though the place was empty. We had to walk around to find someone to refill waters. The food we got was skimpy portions my soup bowl came only half filled and not great. My poor nephew could barely bite though the hockey puck of a burned kid's cheeseburger. I'm glad they have a gluten free menu and the physical space and outside dining area is nice but the food isn't worth it. Dietary restrictions: There is a gluten free menu
Emmett's is very cozy with a delicious selection of beer. Perfect for a special occasion or just a night to yourself. They do serve food and I haven't had one bad meal. The soup of the day changes daily and it never disappoints. I would highly recommend this brewery to anyone looking for good food, good beer and good vibes.
Food was good. We sat outside for the burger was cooked the way I ordered it. The dessert was ginormous and delicious. They were very busy and the waiter was running around like crazy.Food: 5/5
We went on a quiet evening and had a great experience! Delicious beer and drinks, great food, and good service. Ample comfortable seating and would be a lovely place to host a gathering. Vegetarian options: Beyond burger and other vegetarian options available!
Dan was really great and kind and very professional. He recommended us really great food and drinks. Super awesome atmosphere, great place and kid friendly… love love love this place. Will definitely be coming back here. Super recommend this place!!!Food: 5/5
Just left there. We were served raw chicken, they replaced that meal. That meal was then super over cooked chicken. Our appetites were just gone after that. They brought the bill and I spoke w the manager and told him I didn’t feel we should have to pay for the food said I’d obviously pay for the drinks His response was “well you basically cleared your plates so no I’m not doing that” I responded you literally served us raw chicken, we had zero appetites after that. “I’m not gonna do that, you can pay” I said this is a trash establishment, you serve us raw food and want us to pay. They then kicked us out and said not to come back. Terrible and embarrassing.
Unfortunately, the service was poor. After 10 minutes of waiting for a server to approach us, I noticed two other tables who were seated after us, were immediately approached. They received wine and ordered while we waited to be approached. After 15 minutes, the waiter finally took our order. Food is delicious, service poor.
Sad to say this was a terrible visit. We've been here before and it's been fair to good. This time my food was awful. How is it that a filet mignon is tough? My filet was very chewy and it was cooked medium rare. So disappointing. Also, I asked for a little more club soda for my vodka soda that was $11.25 charged me $3.75 for a full glass of club soda. I did let the server know that the steak was subpar, kinda just shook his head and was like oh, that's not good.
