Would not recommend Emory to anybody. Went in for fractured vertebrae and the doctors essentially said to do physical therapy and wait out the pain. After nearly 6 weeks of excruciating pain that never got better, I got a second opinion at a non Emory doctor and the new doctor scheduled surgery for the very next day. He told me I should have had surgery weeks ago. It's also nearly impossible to talk to a doctor at Emory or even just talk to someone at their physical office. You can only communicate through a call center or via your online portal. The doctors won't even respond to your messages -only their nurses. I know they are busy, but they should take time to communicate with their patients directly. Also if you do have any type of concern, the nurses response is typically to just go to the ER and everybody knows the ER is just going to tell you to go back to your doctor. It's a lose lose situation. Thankful I found another office that I can call directly and speak to a person who actually works in the building. And also thankful for a doctor who listened to my concerns and is going to try to fix my back after weeks and weeks of excruciating pain. Thanks for nothing Emory!
Excellent experience. Everything about my visit today was efficient, easy, professional and on time. Every member of the staff was kind and knowledgeable. Everyone was helpful. Beautiful and clean facility designed to be incredibly and exceptionally user/patient/visitor-friendly. Highly impressed.
I’ve been a patient of Emory Orthopedics & Spine center since 2019. The doctor whom I was previously assigned to left the practice. He was great. Well since him I have received nothing but insensitivity to my health and pain. Canceled appointments on same day. Being treated like my health is not of importance. I have never felt so bad and disregarded in all my life. What a horrible experience.
I have to start by saying that there's a fine line between a one-star review in a four-star review. Everett reviews on this facility in the past and I've been a patient of theirs for probably about 3 months now. And truth be told I had to give him a three stars because my experiences were consistent. some visits I get through no problem I wait for about 10 minutes before I go back to the room and see the doctor and they actually have some good information for me. This past visit on yesterday however oh, I was waiting for about 15 minutes in the waiting area until they took me back to a room after x-rays. And I was waiting in that room for the PA for about another 10 to 15 minutes. simply for them to do what I already knew would happened and that was prescribed physical therapy. I don't have a problem with only seeing the doctors for a few minutes I've come to terms with the fact that that's kind of where healthcare is in this current climate with so many hospitals closing and opening. Also the fact that orthopedic centers, no matter which one you go to generally, tend to be a little bit more stack full of patients because back pain is very very common also hip pain is the same. That being said you have to understand the fact that these doctors are well-versed they treated a lot of cases and they've had a lot of success. So as of now I'm going to continue to see them until I have a definite better candidate.
Had a referral to see Dr. Yoon. It was a waste of my time . I've had two back surgeries and haven't gotten any relief from my back pain. Dr. Yoon didn't pull up any of my x-rays to show me anything. He basically told me to diet and stretch because the pain will not go away and it's nothing he can do. Don't waste your time are your money find another doctor.
I’ve gone to visit Randy kats do two times and both times my appointment have been canceled. I was told by confirming my appointment via text that my phone was canceled. One time was for an ablation one time was for a regular doctor visit the front desk staff here didn’t seem very concerned about my issues was very concerning this happen two times and I’m driving three hours to get a disappointment. What a waste of an amazing facility. Very representative of Emory there. The whole establishments like this just Matt been coming to Emory for 12 years. Nobody in a position to except complaints and recommend staff there’s no leaders at this establishment. Only bottom of the barrel minions. Disgusted!
I came in for a consultation about hip pain. Dr. Katz was an hour and a half late seeing me, and after seeing me for 2 minutes recommended that I get an X-ray. I waited for 10 minutes to review the results and was told he wasn’t close to being ready to see me again. I left the appointment without getting help because I had already missed 3 hours of work. I’d recommend finding another doctor.
We were very pleased with my husband's surgery. He had hip replacement. But the follow-up appointment was scheduled for 7 1/2 weeks out. Then we only saw Dr Oskouei's assistant. When I ask if we We're going to see the surgeon I got a quick short reply NO! Without an explanation. I thought that was cold and insensitive. I have always thought a follow-up appointment after surgery was with the surgeon
I am so fortunate to have Dr. Singh as my orthopedist. I needed a full hip replacement, he and his staff were excellent. Dr. Singh carefully explained everything I needed to know, and gave me the space to make my own decisions in my care. He is an excellent surgeon, my new hip is fantastic! He is also a caring and attentive doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Singh and Emory Orthopaedics.
