It's a small, volunteer run museum in a historic building. One room is dedicated to the history of Enterprise with a focus on education and the other is on rotation. When I went, it was full on children's art. It's a nice place to rent for an event. If you go, please consider giving a donation.
Great & free! exhibits, displsys & talks here~~ keeping a small town's history when many forget the important part it played Central Florida's history.Visited onWeekday

My 3 children all attended Enterprise Elementary 1st. - 6th grades . we absolutely loved the teachers, administrative staff and even the wonderful janitor. This building has so many fond memories for the students as well. Our son, Steven Collier, now 50.years old, owns his own business out of state and I took.these pkotos of him outside of this building that holds so many fond memories for us all.
The Enterprise Museum is absolutely wonderful! Preserved and created as a labor of love by local volunteers it continually hosts outstanding local artist’s work and historic exhibits that regale one with the rich history of Volusia County and Enterprise in particular. Open and available for events as well.
Great place to stop by and find more out about Enterprise! The building its located in is an original structure that house a great many pictures and learning tools! The very friendly folks that works there very helpful! I plan on stopping back by when I can spend more time looking around!
The staff is amazing. I found out that they host varieties of events as well. Love it! The ability to share and learn is amazing.
brings back memories of my own grade school class room and old school. All the old wood on floors, staircase banisters, the walls. The odd colored green paint used in girls bathroom, the wooden doors on each stall. The single China sink with only 1 faucet for cold water and the pink liquid soap in the dispenser on the wall. Museum told a lot of historical facts pretaining to the town of Enterprise, the different name changes it went thru. It has copies of the guest book of the old Brock hotel that was built along the St. John's river on old Enterprise road. It shows that 2 presidents stayed there, Grant and Rutherford, along with European royalty, and other famous Americans. The owners of the museum are private people who do not get help from government, but operate off donations. It's free of charge, but they appreciate donations. Stop by, and step back in time!
Go here and spend a moment to appreciate your local history. There is so much of it to take in! Also, leave a couple bucks in the donation box at the door. Any little thing helps!
