I wish you could give zero stars. I have rented from Enterprise dozens of times in multiple States. I called at 9:00 from the repair shop to see if I could get picked up half a mile away like I have been numerous times before, and I am greeted with a "we don't do that". I was then told that my reservation wasn't until 10:00 but they didn't have any cars for me anyway so it didn't matter. The conversation went downhill from there. I was left scrambling to find other arrangements so that I could get my terminally ill special needs child from daycare. Luckily I was able to arrange something and at 10:00 I went by that location and there were eight cars ready to be rented but apparently none for me. I have dealt with less belligerently rude people at the DMV.
My experience was much more positive than others. These guys were GREAT to work with--one of the best business experiences I have ever had. I was ALWAYS greeted with a big smile, and was treated with respect and they were some of the friendliest people I have ever known. These guys would go out of their way to help in any way they could and to make sure I was happy. They valued me as a customer. Their attitude and friendliness should be used as a model to which other businesses should aspire to be. Will definitely go back there again. Thank you, guys!
I live out of state. My daughter attends college in Tuscaloosa, had a fender bender and needed some shop work. Our auto insurance pays for a rental car and made a reservation on her behalf. I then called Enterprise Northport and was told the $30 daily car allowance from our insurance company would cover the ENTIRE cost. However, when my daughter returned the car, she was presented with a $175 bill. She asked about insurance and was told she could file a claim with insurance, so she naively paid it. This was deceptive on the part of Enterprise as they already knew insurance had paid the maximum portion allowed. When I called Enterprise Northport about the bill, I was told a different story. This time they said that the insurance doesn't cover the entire cost. When I called my insurance company to complain, they said Enterprise claimed that my daughter had chosen a more "expensive" car, hence the extra charges. That was untrue. My daughter said they just gave her a car with no mention of any extra charges in spite of the fact that she brought it up a couple of times. Very disappointed in Enterprise with this incident.
On June 17th I went to this location 10 minutes before they closed. Maurice Ward and the store manager I believe his name was Dereck were very professional and personal as they made an exception for my last minute request. I initially reserved a car through Hertz in Northporth, AL and they did not have a car available when I got there, so instead I went to Enterprise and they helped me. I honestly cannot express how helpful and kind the employees are there---I plan to always rent from them, even though their rates are higher, their customer service is above exceptional!! Fantastic Experience! Needed a rental car this week, it is Memorial Day weekend and I knew it would be tough but it was easy thanks to Derek and Bo! Derek Nelson, the Branch Manager and his team are Pros. They took such great care of me and I will never rent a car from anywhere else but Northport Enterprise! Thanks Again!
How are you guys gonna let people make a reservation weeks in advance and then not even have the car when it’s time to pick up? And try to call 15 minutes before pickup to tell us that there isn’t a car available? What is even the point in making a reservation if you’re not going to have a car reversed anyways?
I spoke with a person named Greg. After telling me there were no more cars available until next week. I spoke with the corporate office, they advise me differently. I called Greg back to inquire as to why corporate had a different number of cars available. He advised me he didn’t care about what corporate had to say, and hung the phone up on me. Very unprofessional. And doesn’t care about the customer concern or needs.
The guy that handled my rental did a good job. The problem is he was the only person there. Renting out cars cleaning cars and giving rides. Also I paid with a credit card and was told that my $300 hold would be released instantly after I returned the car. This was incorrect because my funds still have not been released.
Enterprise pick me up from the body shop at 10 AM, and brought me to the lot with assurance my car will be ready shortly. I waited almost 2 hours, With repeated assurance that with my car would be here in “10-15 more minutes.” I finally asked for whatever was available, as I had another appointment to get to. They offered me the SUV on the lot, and proceeded to let me sign the papers and get my deposit. As I drove away I quickly realized the whole car smelled of cigarette smoke. I called the office and notified them of the smell, to which the woman on the phone replied: “Don’t worry we won’t charge you extra for that.” 2/10 would not recommend.
My son was scheduled to drop his car off today at 10am for repairs. We were told that a car would be waiting on him at the body shop. The car was NOT there which is understandable an enterprise agent picked him up at 10:20 and he sat up at enterprise until 12:50 waiting on his rental. Every time He asked when the car would be ready he was told in a minute. This isn’t the 1st bad experience I’ve had with this company a few months back I rented a car to go out of town got on the interstate and the car kept shutting down on me on the interstate. I had to turn around and bring the car back. All I was offered was a refund not another car. The car my son was given smelled of smoke and was not clean. I will NOT be renting from this company again I’ll catch a ride before I rent from them. The costumer service was awful both times.
