A little disappointed in the procedures they haven't placed there. I was on the phone for over an hour with the insurance company to finally get authorization just to find out that I couldn't rent a vehicle there! If that was a possibility, they should have verified that first? Just makes for poor customer service and very upset customers
I was overcharged and refund did not come in. Edit: After I posted this review the manager of this location reached out to me and the issue has now been amicably resolved. I have changed this review from a 2* to 4*.
My favorite place to go to with other locations I get treated right with the manager great suvs when I get my discounted free upgrades always in and out within 5 mins 5 star to the manager
As a real estate agent I often have to pick out of town investors up from the airport. This location is near the airport and is the best option around. They are typically more affordable and service is much quicker. The north syracuse location is my favorite one in Central New York. The staff is always friendly and attentive. Get a much better deal and selection then at the airport. Even if you didn't have someone picking you up it's worth taking an Uber over.
I don't know the sales man's name but he was awesome, and got us in and out SUPER QUICK, maybe 10 mins if that!!! I Reserved a BMW X3 over to the Alamo at the Syracuse airport, Went to go pick up my reservation and was told that I could not pick it up on the same day as I reserved it. So went to enterprise unfortunately I did not get the BMW, but I did get the 2020 Dodge Durango. So Kudos to this Enterprise location for stepping up the game and not letting me down like the Alamo at The Syracuse Hancock international airport did!
Horrible and unprofessional experience. Worst rental ever!! I rented a vehicle from Enterprise on Friday, 8/28/20. I have rented a number of vehicles over the years for work out of the same location, so I have become very familiar with the process and rental workflow. Each and every time I go to Enterprise, there is always different staff or trainees on site, so you never really deal with the same person multiple times. This time in particular, I had reserved a vehicle through an online booking. I had accumulated points from my frequent trips to the rental facility, so I wanted to use some of the free points for a trip to Rochester. When I arrived at the Enterprise location, I waited for over 10 minutes only to be told they did not have a vehicle on site for me. The individual who was helping me noted that you can reserve cars online, but it does not mean they have them or will have them onsite. [So essentially you are able to book online with no certainty that you will actually have the rental the day you need it]. After asking to speak with a manager or manager trainee, it was learned that they did not have any vehicles coming back that day [being a Friday], but that their Route 11 location had vehicles to boom or rent. I then had to request a shuttle or give me a ride to this location because you aren't allowed to leave personal vehicles on site. Once I arrived at the route 11 location, the driver quickly left. It took a few minutes, but I was able to speak with a individual who noted to me that they too did not have any vehicles and was curious as to why they would refer me to this location. She then proceeded to call the Genesee Street location to question them on why they would send me there. At this point I became stuck because as noted the shuttle driver left after dropping me off. After waiting for 15 or so minutes and no sure what to do, a rental car did get returned. However, I was not able to use my points. In order to be able to use points, you have to book your reservation through that exact location. Attempts to do this on my mobile devices were not successful. Thus, I had to pay out of pocket. The individual I was dealing with at the Route 11 location cold not return my points and told me to call their corporate offices. [Once on the road I called one of the St. Louis locations to get my points return and asked for a return call by the franchise owner of the Syracuse locations so I could explain this horrible ordeal. BTW, still waiting for that call as i have received no calls or follow ups on my experience to date regarding this rental. In the past i have received follow up calls form the Enterprise Corporate offices, but not this time]. Despite renting on average 15-20 cars annually over the past 4 years or so [less this year, but due to the restricted COVID-19 travel]. Suffice to say this horrible experience put me well behind that day as having to be in Rochester around 5:30, I did not actually leave Syracuse till 5:20 or so, putting me at my destination around 7-pm. Truly a unpleasant experience, one i hope to never experience or go through again. More than likely, I will walking a little further down the street to now rent cars from my local Avis....
A pleasure to work with. I got stuck without my car for an extended period of time 4 weeks and the dealership refused to give me a loaner. That was a terrible experience but it was an absolute pleasure dealing with this Enterprise location. They were flexible with my needs and super responsive. Ryan Mathis delivers a top-notch customer experience. I used to not really have a preference for rental car companies but my experiences here have made me an Enterprise customer.
The North Syracuse Enterprise rent-a-car is excellent. We go out of town a couple of times a year and don't really like to put the miles on our car, Enterprise has always came through for us. We have never had a problem with our cars being ready when promised and the car we wanted. It may be a tad pricey but you get what you pay for, great service, great car. We've never broke down but if we did they would have a new car to us anywhere that might be, that's what is nice, nation wide not a mom and pop rent a wreck where your on your own. You get what you pay for. Top notch 5 stars all day long.
I had to rent a car for a few days to get some repairs done on my own. I was able to get a discounted rate through my insurance, but it was still out of pocket. The employee was nice and quick to get the car for me even with the after holiday business and cold. I was like most enterprise locations able to drop it off after hours, the only company around me to allow that which was great. The customer service and rental process is much better than their competitors. I highly recommend enterprise!
After striking out at all the airport agencies, I walked in and spoke to Spencer. He went above and beyond, calling 5 locations and finally located a large passenger van for our non profit. Kudos to Spencer for making it happen.
