Haven’t been here since it’s previous name epic cafe, but really enjoyed the place and how it has a little play area for kids and couches make it more laid back atmosphere. Love all the options for food, drinks and pastries. It’s place to order at the front counter and they bring your food out later. Love the food! I definitely will go back again!
Really interesting menu, lots of vegan options. I had the mushroom and chevre quiche and side of bacon, with a dirty horchata, everything was great! The interior could use an update but it's cozy and quiet with lots of plants that someone clearly lovingly cares for. Lots of beautiful pastries in the case, and I like that they use cloth napkins!! Vegetarian options: So many vegetarian options available here, as well as vegan options like biscuits and gravy.
This is a really nice little place to go to for breakfast or lunch and just relax and have some good food. The cafe itself is well cared for and pleasant to be in. And the service here is perfect. The person who took my order was friendly and made sure things were correct before continuing and my meal was ready in a good amount of time. I had a panini and blackberry mojito, both which were amazing. The drink in particular was really good, the blackberry, lime, and mint combined very nicely together. The panini had a little too much spinach for me, but it was nonetheless delicious. It also came with some side potatoes that were seasoned and roasted to perfection. The portions are quite generous as well. I am not one to eat a lot, so I got a little box to take home part of my meal, but if you've got a bigger appetite, then it should be perfect for you. I really liked eating here, it's a cozy little cafe and the food is delicious. If I'm ever in Tucson again I would gladly come back. Vegetarian options: My friend is vegan and enjoys coming here because they have a wide variety of plant-based options.
This was a pleasant find on our trip to town. I had the mega burrito, and my wife had the vegan biscuits and gravy. Both were delightfully demolished. We also made off with some amazing pastries for a treat later on. We. Will. Be. Back.Food: 5/5
I had a disappointing experience here today. The vibes are cute, local spot, art on the walls, and the food that was correct was good. But something like this ruins the whole experience. This was my first time coming here, living close by I wanted to love it and come back often in the future if I liked it. I ordered the caprese sandwich, which is listed on the menu as made with mozzarella, and really, I've never seen it made with anything else in my life. Mozzarella is what makes it a caprese. It's my favorite type of sandwich/salad, and I often order it at Beyond Bread or Time Market. I decided to try Cafe Maggie's version, but it came out with swiss cheese on it instead of mozzarella. If you know anything about a caprese sandwich, mozzarella is kind of the star. Substituting swiss cheese is like putting swiss on a pizza in place of the mozzarella, or putting swiss In a lasagna instead of the ricotta. It's just not an appropriate substitute at all for a mild soft cheese. Mistakes happen, whatever, I spoke up and let them know politely, apologizing for "being a pain". They said they'd remake it and make sure it was done correctly, that the chef didn't know the menu that well and made a mistake.. red flag already, and you think they'd double check the remake if that was the case. I asked for it to be boxed up. When I got home and opened my box for dinner... It's the same EXACT thing, made with swiss cheese, again! I know because I also took home the incorrectly made version to give to a family member that might eat it. I hate wasting food. I compared them and there's nothing different. I just don't understand why they wouldn't tell me they were either out of mozzarella if that was the issue, or why the staff that brought me my boxed up sandwich didn't make sure it was made correctly the second time like they promised, especially if they were having issues with the check getting ingredients correct like they said. I paid $11.50 for a tomato and swiss sandwich I don't want to eat, as if anyone would order that even if they did like swiss and pay that much for it. Real mozzarella is an expensive cheese, swiss is not. I felt ripped off and lied to by the staff after it happened the second time. Just be honest with your customers if you can't make something according to the menu! Don't take their money and give them something totally different made with cheaper ingredients.
I knew it before as the epic cafe and it's just as good if not better! A wonderful selection of breakfast and lunch foods, as well as delicious drinks. My bacon was perfectly cooked, the toast perfectly buttered, and the eggs were delicious! They also had plenty of pastries to choose from, sweet and savory. It was not busy at all and seems like the perfect hole-in-the-wall spot to take a chance at. Not to mention, the prices were very reasonable. Edit to add that you HAVE to try their prickly pear smoothie. I would come here JUST for this. It is so delicious. The refresher is also super yummy and really great for hot days.
Relaxed cafe with a full coffee bar and breakfast / lunch menu. Many hearty vegan options as well as vegan sweets. The owner made a point of designing the menus so there’s food options for everyone.
Maggie's is amazing. Had the breakfast burrito with bacon and sausage and it was delicious! The oatmeal raisin cookie was crunchy and chewy. There's also great vegan options if there is a vegan in you're group.Food: 5/5
This is a go-to spot for me. Kind and knowledgeable service. Menu is the perfect size, valuing quality over quantity. Plenty of options to choose from, savory and sweet. Haven't had something I didn't like. Roomy and bright environment, and love all the well taken care of plants scattered about. Also kiddo friendly, which isn't very common with cafés. Highly recommend.
BUSSIN BUSSIN. Look at these sandwiches and think. You could be eating this. Prices were still reasonable too and their dirty horchata was great Vegetarian options: They've got vegetarian and vegan food. Didn't have it myself but I'm sure it's good
