Description

The Escondido Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency medical services to the City of Escondido and the Rincon Del Diablo Fire Protection District. The Mission of the Escondido Fire Department is to serve the public and to safeguard the community from the impacts of fire, medical, and environmental emergencies through education, emergency services, and enforcement. The Escondido Fire Department has 36 personnel, including a Battalion Chief, Captains, Engineers, Firefighters and Paramedics, on duty 24-hours a day operating from seven fire stations. The field personnel are supported by three Staff Chief Officers, five administrative staff, five fire prevention personnel and one Emergency Preparedness Manager.
