very cool and unique tea house & coffee shop. they offer a short but sweet variety of brunch & lunch options. a lot of specialty teas as well. plenty of seating; indoor, outdoor with patio and under the shade of trees. very beautifully decorated, it's such a cool hidden gem. we got the lox eggs benedict & lots of teas...with pu-erh tea being one of them, a fremented ancient tea from china. they also offer beers, hard ciders & wines, all local. will definitely be back!
Awesome coffee place with great garden seating! Coffee is always delicious! Also they have good food. Prices slide higher then usually in Coffee places. Great atmosphere. Awesome people.
Great outdoor seating, Esther magically cool on the summer heat. You can't tell you're right next to rt 9. In cooler season, their grilled cheese and tomato soup is delicious and filling. Nice place to study or to meet people for non alcoholic drinks.
They have nice teas. Food is definitely a foodie spot where your either going to like the seasonings or you won't. The atmosphere is nice and I will definitely be going back for tea. I knocked one star for the intense peer pressure to add a tip. I always tip since I've worked with the public for years including cafe's. This is a place where you clear your own plates at the end and get your milk and creamer at a condiment table. Think like Panera. The soul sucking stare while saying "consider leaving a tip" was definitely off putting.
Felt like I was transported to Europe upon walking in. The menu was well rounded with plenty of options. The prices seemed a bit high, compared to other local cafes, but my wife and I both agreed that the taste and quality of produce in our meals was well worth it. I’ve already made plans to return next week.
The outdoor seating behind the trees is private and separates the spaCe from the road very well. When ordering, don't forget to buy a bag of vanilla powder- makes great steamers at home and also a nice creamer for coffee. The drinks are well made and are delicious. Worth a revisit. Kid-friendliness: Specify when ordering a kiddos beverage and it is more kid friendly in size and temperature. Parking: Lot in front of the cafe.
I visit Esselon about once a week and the experience is always fantastic. The food is perfectly cooked, artfully diplayed, and tastes amazing. There are so many great items on the menu -- I have never been disappointed. The staff is collectively excellent and many have been there for years which says a lot.
The seating can feel a little cramped but that's not something I think is a bad thing but may deter some. EVERYTHING else about the place is wonderful. Coffee is amazing, breakfast is great. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5
Wonderful! The place has such great ambiance. I actually feel like I am in Europe or at the very least NYC! when here. The portions are sizable, and very fresh. Although EXTREMELY busy we waited 15 minutes in line to place our order, the staff was friendly and efficient.
A secret gem that's not so secret. Great food, the coffee drinks are amazing and the outdoor seating is the surprise. A hidden oasis. It's a great seasonal option- I can imagine sitting in this spot while the leaves are turning. Vegetarian options: They'll ask about allergies when you order. Parking: Three parking lots, should add 12 more. Wheelchair accessibility: Stairs and a ramp
