Great memories living at Bates house and walking over here for games after classes. I’m usually not a soccer fan but the women’s team was good enough to make it enjoyable to watch.
Eugene E. Stone III soccer Stadium is on the campus of the University of South Carolina. The 5,000 seat ground is home to the USC Gamecocks soccer teams. What I find even more amazing is a small plot of land adjacent to the field called House of Peace Cemetery, formerly called the Beth Shalom Cemetery Chartered on April 26, 1883 by the Hebrew Cemetery Society of Columbia. The University of South Carolina acquired the land surrounding the cemetery in 1969, and the Eugene E. Stone III Memorial Stadium was built in 1996. This soccer stadium is known as “The Graveyard” due to its proximity to the cemetery.
Nice stadium and had a sizeable crowd for a midweek game. Visited for Georgia Southern - South Carolina men's soccer match. The Eagles and Gamecocks played to a 1-1 draw in 2 overtimes.
USC soccer is played here. The night we went it was the rivary game between USC and Clemson. The beautiful stadium was pack. Luckily we came early enough to get seats. The boys enjoyed the game and the complementary noise makers! Go Gamecocks
Watched the ladies soccer spring game against Charlotte. And JU.. And Elon..
A great soccer stadium with a free parking garage across the road. Very well maintained. Staff is always great and love the new video board.
Location wise... it's not great, with train tracks nearby and distanced a little outside of campus, to be fair, but the stadium itself is quite nice and has neat quirks for visitors and athletes. What do I mean? The stadium has it's own state-of-the-art gym attached to it, as well as a small graveyard. To incorporate this into the feel of the stadium, the stadium has a "graveyard shift" crew of people who beat drums rhythmically during the soccer games. Furthermore, the field and, generally, the stadium are in great shape.
Loved Stone stadium since the first time I saw a Gamecock Soccer match. Extremely well-kept stadium with reasonable seating and good concessions. Great match day atmosphere
Love this place. So many sweet soccer memories.
Great stadium with comfortable seats, student hype the same as it would be in football, only 1 sided seating.
