A dental practice limited to periodontics and implant dentistry
Dr. Andrew Dow was born and raised in the Eugene-Springfield area. He and his younger brother, Dr. Coleman Dow, are the 4th generation of dentists in the Dow family. Dr. Andrew is excited to be back in the area doing what he loves!
Practice: The location of Eugene Periodontics & Implant Dentistry was finalized in July 2011 and construction will start in early October and last until December of 2011. In the mean time Dr Dow practices as a contract Periodontist for local dentists in Lane County.
Education: Dr. Dow attended the University of Oregon earning his bachelor’s degree in General Science with minors in Chemistry and Business. After graduation he attended Oregon Health & Sciences University School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (D.M.D.). While in dental school he volunteered for several dental causes and was active in student government. After completing dental school Dr. Dow continued his education at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine postdoctoral periodontal residency program. The program is notably the first program to offer advanced training in laser periodontal therapy as well as traditional periodontal training. While at Colorado he attended the Misch International Implant Institute, participated in several study clubs, and performed research, earning his masters degree in biologic sciences. He was awarded the Robert G. Schallhorn Annual Award for Periodontal Excellence in Academics, Clinical Proficiency, Meritorious Research and Interpersonal Relationships.
Memberships: Dr Dow is an active member of the Lane County Dental Society, the American Dental Association, the Oregon Dental Association, and the American Academy of Periodontology.
