I get my blood drawn here fairly regularly. I've always had great phlebotomists, which is necessary. I can pass out during blood draws. The equipment here seems new and I've always gotten help with my needle fears. Receptionists are very kind. A very comfortable wait area and food restrooms, the building always looks very clean and smells nice.
People that are leaving reviews that reflect their frustration with Open Door need to realize what kind of funding they get. They do the best they can with what they get. It's true that their doctors come and go, but what do you expect? We live in the middle of nowhere, get used to the downsides of this and hate the game, not the player.
This health center serves a large population and requires a patient to sign up first. It has government subsidies, and a varied group of providers. I get service there.
Wendy at the front desk is awesome!! She had some kind words for me, in my addiction recovery. Great place!
Most of the medical staff seem disinterested and quick to hurry though appointments, even after waiting for sometimes hours. While it is a beautiful and modern facility, it's sadly wasted with Dr's and nurses who couldn't care less about your needs as patient. Really, between my visits they have been very bored seeming to straight up rushing to get out, even with sensitive medical topics. The kindest employess I've encountered are the front desk staff. Decent place to get your kids antibiotics slung to ya, but very little help in actual patient wellbeing and care.
Good doctors but the front desk takes wayyyyy to long to get you an appointment if there’s one available by the time your done on hold! I have been caller 4 multiple times and have waited a total of 30 minutes every wait time. Very frustrating.
If I could mark a 0 I would. 3 doctors are seeing ruffly 200 adults a day. If you are on Medical they are NOT excepting new patients, they can't attract "new" doctors with "that" kind of insurance. The receptionist told me this. These so called doctors have given me the run around and transfer to him/ her for the last 2 month's since the staff change. They DO NOT care about your health or especially your concerns or questions if you have them!! They would rather let you die while waiting for a call back that NEVER comes. Avoid them they do not care!!!!!
We used to go to a family practice and they dumped us. We were fortunate to get into the Eureka Community Health Center and they have always treated us well. I guess it was a blessing in disguise that the other place dumped us. We are very happy with Allegra, FNP and the staff. Thank you!
I have been a patient with the clinic for almost 20 years, along with my kids, once they stopped seeing their pediatrician. They have a lot of turn over, due to lack of ability to pay the higher dollar amounts to keep the doctors in place. I have had issues with this clinic and with our private doctors, which were always worked out. If not by the doctors, then by their supervisors. I guess my point is for the amount of low income individuals who only have medical or partnership, which none of the private practices want any thing to do with, they work really well to make your appointment a positive one. They may not read your whole chart before you come in and mistakes will be made; unfortunately, but i am grateful for what they have given this community, focusing in on best practices and always learning from any mistakes made. my hats off to the hard work they have to do in order to fulfill the needs of our little community and keep us all healthier.
New to the area. Called to see if they accepted new patients. They said it depended on our insurance. I said my husband had Medicare and Anthem Blue Cross. They said they weren’t accepting those insurances. I find this very rude and unprofessional.
