Best choice I ever made for my kids. Had one child in Gifted and Talented in EVSC. Upon moving to ELS found that he was way behind. This school fixed this. ISTEP scores far above the public school norm for Evansville. Both of my kids attending have learning issues and the staff has worked with us above and beyond to accommodate. ELS also received an A in the new Indiana school rating system. Above all, it is a solid Christian education experience with lots of homework, great success stories, awesome teachers and a track record of continual success. Getting ready to start two more of my kids there in the fall. The school is expanding use of iPads in the classroom currently. Sending my kids to ELS has been one of the best decisions I have made as a parent. Be prepared for homework as there is definitely a work product ethic at this school. Many parents also volunteer in various capacities.
The education is alright, but you need to be a fast learner and catch up with the crowd on learning. This school was way too stressful. I had my first anxiety attack there and always dreaded going there everyday due to cwrtain teachers and just the unfair atmosphere. No reccomended unless you like overly strict dresscode where girls can't have too tight of pants and worry on that more than what your learning. I learned more about how annoying the dresscode was there than anything in my classes. Not recommended.
