I am disappointed. I ordered a 20 oz beer then received a 16 oz, soon to be replaced with my 20 oz. Then I ordered a Chinese “classic” from the menu which stated I would get crispy sesame beef and lemon chicken. No description other than that. I got soggy breaded beef slivers with a bunch of sauce to make it even more soggy. On the other side was breaded chicken and 2 slices of lemon. And 3 bits of raw broccoli?? I expressed my disappointment to my server and she explained that I ordered spicy beef and that is not crispy. So I corrected her and told her I had double happiness and she said she’d “tell her boss”. No discount on food or offer to do anything. I don’t usually care but I really hated the food! AND she forgot the beer size and what I even ordered.
I wanted to try something different. The waitress recommended the spicy hot pot with fish. I asked for medium spice and she gently suggested that I would prefer the mild. She was right! The menu has very little description so it was a lovely surprise. There are whole cloves, cardamom pods, red pepper and star anise in it. A bit more grease then I would have preferred but I absolutely loved it. I took the leftovers home. I would definitely go here again.
Updated: Went again. Food is still acceptable and understandably more expensive. Staff are even busier, but not much service provided. One bad thing is 18% gratitude automatically charged for group of 5, while receipt still ask for additional gratitude and waitress did not mention anything about this. Old review: Good food, from dish to soup. Slightly Americanized, but still quite authentic Chinese favor. Clean and quite new renovation. Slightly salty than would like. Service is so so and I think our waitress is under a lot of stress for work. During dine in, we noticed a lot of take out and deliveries. Will go back again.
Really nice, modern, clean atmosphere. The food is good, although sometimes a little too salty even for the cuisine. The large menu is digital, which is nice. The staff is always friendly and the food comes out quickly.Food: 4/5
Food is good, service is nice. However, it is a little bit expensive. The amount of rice is not enough and I have to order an addition bowl for two dollarsFood: 5/5
Good food, good service & food while very good was inconsistant from bite to bite. My spicy orange chicken and fried rice was for the most part amazing but some pieces were over cooked and chewy. Overall Evergreen was a good experience and would try them again.Food: 3/5
Evergreen, once a promising Chinese restaurant, has unfortunately seen a decline in its overall dining experience. Particularly, their service has taken a nosedive. We recently dined there multiple times and noticed a significant deterioration, with the service turning notably discourteous. On one occasion, we were placed on the waiting list. After patiently waiting for 45 minutes, we received a notification that our table was ready. We hurriedly arrived within 5 minutes, only to discover that they had given our table away to other patrons simply because we weren't there promptly. After lodging a complaint with the restaurant owner, we were finally seated, but it took an additional 15 minutes of waiting. Even after we were seated, it took another 15 minutes before we were able to see a waitress taking care of water and order. Frustrated by the restaurant's arrogance and the overall experience, we decided to leave without dining. Additionally, the quality of the food has noticeably declined; it has become rather mediocre, and some dishes are overly salty.
Took my wife and daughter her for here move into AGD and I would have to say it was hands down the best Chinese food me and my girls have ever had. We picked three different entrees and everyone of them was better than the last. One happy father/husband. Ty for service and food!!!!
Probably the worst delivery food Ive ever eaten. We got pan fried noodles that looked like old ramen noodles someone left out along with vegetables floating in syrup. The “shanghai style pork buns” were dumplings in what tasted like maple syrup. The scallion pancakes were covered in grease. We got sick from the food. $85 for it all and we threw it in the trash.
Don’t go here if you black! They gave us water without ice and everyone else got water with ice. Food was not good at all, the drinks we got tasted like water and they definitely treat Asian people better than anyone else our sever was no where to be found most of the time and the price!!!! Let me not even get into that. Absolutely don’t recommend!!
