I have been using this company for roughy 2-3 yrs, NEVER had any problems before working with James. He was super but he moved recently and then it was Jeff. Since then nothing but problems. Can never reach anyone for scheduling, never text back, & service hours are extremely limited. Long story short, don’t waste your time or money here. Find a place that treats their customers with respect. They need James back!
I love coming in here with my Dad to browse around, even though I do not currently have a salt-water tank. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff who obviously have passion in what they do every day even during these tough times. I recommend checking out the store if you're already into the salt side of the hobby, or are thinking about starting it like I am.
Every time I come to Exotic Aquatics the staff and owner are extremely helpful, caring, and knowledgeable. They always have a great selection of healthy fish as well. Best local fish shop!!
This place is the best. Great family owned shop, everyone is super friendly and most importanty knowledgeable about the hobby. They answered all my questions and helped me find the right corals to best fit my system. Everything I purchased was healthy and opened up in my tank. They really make you feel like a guest in their home. Will definitely revisit.
This place is not the one with the owner who assaulted the woman of color. This is an Illinois store not one in Virginia called Exotic and Aquatics, this store is just on Virginia road. This stores owner runs his business with the normal customer service and caring about customers, greeting everyone with a smile, and caring for their animals.
Love this place. My husband and I come here often and the people that work here are very knowledgeable with any questions we have. They are so friendly and patient--especially with our energetic 4 year old boy. They arent just out to make a sale like we have experienced at other fish stores, and have even given us recommendations on what we should and shouldn't purchase with our set up. Even when we came in right before closing, they still took time with us and didn't try to rush us out the door. Great customer service!
This business is not affiliated with the location in virginia where a woman of color was assaulted.. this business has almost the same name and is located on virginia rd in Illinois. I have always been treated with respect and staff is always so helpful.
This is easily the best place in the area for your saltwater tank needs. The staff are so knowledgeable, honest, and friendly. We always look forward to our trips to this fish store to check out their wide variety of fish, corals and of course for the great company :
This is a great business, I’m always treated like family every time I walk into this store. The owner and his daughter are the real deal and they know their stuff.
The team at Exotic Aquatics are extremely knowledgeable in their field and very professional . Jeff , James , and Elise have been very helpful over the years with our two tanks in crystal lake which we bought from Exotic Aquatics and still have the tanks maintained by them on a monthly basis . Stop in an see this great family business
