The office staff was great. Honestly those ladies were amazing. Sadly the doctor was beyond inappropriate. My son is 5 and of course after waiting an hour to be seen he was over it already and wanted to go home. Well after finally being seen by the doctor he was clearly frustrated and had no patience for my son at all. He sighed from annoyance and did not even do the exam properly he said my son was using one eye way to much and that his eyes were +1.25 and +.75. Yet didn't even try to continue the exam. He was talking beyond low and literally made no sense about what he was explaining. I left there so upset. I ended up making an appt with Dr. GILL from Bay Area Vision and OH MY GOD he was amazing. My sons Vision is +25 in both eyes with astigmatism in both eyes as well. When i showed him the results from Dr. Gates he was in shock. Never going back here EVER.

Went here before years ago, and had to cancel my appointment because of how rude the DOCTOR was on the phone to me. This year I was desperately needing a prescription, and I stupidly came back to this place. Dr. Gates was annoyingly arrogant, obviously didn’t believe I was suffering from certain conditions and seriously rushed my whole visit. On top of that, I was over charged????? NEVER going back to this horrible place. No wait time though! Because no one probably wants to see this JOKE of a doctor. I haven’t been able to see well since I left that office. At least I have a different doctor now. Save your money, this man is all talk literally and doesn’t care about you.

Had my exam today and I must say that I had a great experience. The ladies at the front deskwere extremely helpful and Dr. Nathan Walker was fantastic! He told me what I needed to know and what to get for my prescription. Very straight forward. Plus Dr. Walker was just a good man all around. I will definitely will be coming back for all future visits.

If I am able to give a 0 star review I would. Dr.Gates talks way to much and about nonsense, my last appointment was last week my second time going to him. He is inappropriate with his conversations and likes to put his hands on thighs. Over all my experience there was uncomfortable and I will never be going back. This last appointment resulted in me contacting corporate and I hope they do something about him. He should not be able to have young ladies or little kids as patients.

Ive been going to dr gates for 3 years and trust him so much ive recommended my 81 year old mother to try him out. Unlike most doctors, he actually takes time to talk to you. You may have to wait longer than you want to get into examining room, but once you are there, he will give you the same time he gave all the patients before you

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I went in to see him for the first time and the first script he gave me had me seeing worse than my old script. I couldn't see nearly as far and things were more blurry. I went in for a script recheck. He changed some minor things but the overall result was the same. My vision was worse with the new script he prescribed than the old script I had been using. Also, doctor gates like to be very touchy with his patients, like resting his hand on your knee too long, that sort of thing. Awful experience. I'm out $95 from this visit alone WITH insurance already used up.

I had a great experience! Dr. Gates really takes the time to explain everything that is going on with great detail. He ensures you have a good understanding of any questions you might have about your eyes and/or glasses.

Came in and my prescription was wrong, came back for a reading. I picked up my new glasses. The prescription is still wrong. Would not recommend. Staff and doctor are nice. Bit jesus your a doctor get the script correct. Now I have to refund my glasses, and find a new optometrist.

Very friendly staff and Dr Gates spent extra time making sure I was given the best prescription for my eyes. No wait time! I’m definitely coming back. Thank you so much

I Was Scheduled On Monday 1/27/2020 at The Palmera Mall Location for a 10:00 am Appointment and This Appointment was made for me On 7/ 26/2019 So They had sceduled me 6 Months out AND I Arrived On Monday 1/27 at 9:30am did some window shopping and then Sat on A bench for the Last 10 minutes before they opened. 10:00 am came around and NO ONE Opened the office, Finally The Office Manager shows up Only To TELL Me I HAD NO appointment Even Though i had my Hand written appointment card with Me, all i got was an Apology The Situation was Not Rectified in Any Way! ONLY an " Im Sorry". Looking for a New Eye Dr.
