Im not one to complaint but waiting 6 hours in an emergency room when you walk in with heart related concerns is unacceptable. Walked in on Sunday at 1030pm and left Monday morning at 5am without being seen by a doctor. All they did was blood work, xray and a ekg.
Went today with family menber, holy family needs better customer service not matter how good you do your job, staff have to know that it, go together, talk treat, patient and family the same way that you wanted to be treated & comunicate as well. Colonoscopy department nurses. Just think twice before you hurt someone.
I can not say enough how terribly awful it has been to deal with this place. My nieces room was not clean, ridiculously small, and the night shift nurses have been nothing but rude, unhelpful, and uncaring. This is the maternity ward, with dirty linens and someone else trash. No peri bottle, no mesh underwear or pads. When you are the face of healthcare you should be taking pride in your work. This is completely a shame, and I will be following up this review with contact to whoever I need to contact, until this situation has been rectified. Absolutely shameful.
If I could give this negative reviews I would! I wouldn’t send my worst enemy here! Let’s dive a little into shall we? Let’s take a look at your core values found on your own website for a moment… “Our Values Compassion Providing care with empathy in such a way the person experiences acceptance, concern, hopefulness and sensitivity Accountability Accepting responsibility for continuous performance & improvement, embracing change & seeking new opportunities to serve Respect Honoring the dignity of each person Excellence Exceeding expectations through teamwork and innovation” Out of compassion the only one you hold up is concern. Concern as to why my fathers call light is not being answered when his legs aren’t working and he can’t get out of bed himself. Concern as to why he is getting bed sores, concern as to why your staff thinks it ok to have an attitude with not only their patients, but the patients family. Because you sure aren’t being sensitive to patients needs knowing well and good my father doesn’t like to ask for help so if that call light is on he definitely needs something! I don’t see any “accountability” when I asked to speak to a manager and I’m told someone else called in and the head nurse would call them back. No I wanted to file a complaint as well as know what’s going on. “Respect” is laughable at most as my father has given up and you couldn’t even let him see his emotional support dog for 5 minutes while he’s been fed some very hard news! Also where’s your respect when I’m calling in to check on the status of my father and making sure he’s getting the care he needs as I live further away and can’t see him as often as I would like and YOUR nurses are acting like I’m a burden? Hmmm sooo respectful all the sarcasm given. And last but not least “Excellence”, there is no “teamwork” when it comes to this place. No one knows what’s going on as I called to see what the visitation hours were and to know if I could bring my child with me and got conflicting answers on the time and was told, “I think you could bring him.” Again, I live 2 hours away and can’t bring my 2 year old on a “I think”. This place needs to get their act together. No wonder they haven’t gotten another A for hospital safety since 2018. Id love to see what it is now.
If I could give Holy Family negative stars I would. If I had the authority I would have this entire hospital shut down. I will be filing a formal complaint against Holy Family Hospital in Methuen. I was brought to the emergency room on Sunday 8/20/23 due to severe 10/10 abdominal pain hx of pancreatitis and gastritis. The pain was intolerable and nothing was done except to receive fluids that I couldn’t hold down due to violently throwing up and a blood draw that left my entire arm in deep bruises. I requested to be discharged so I could admit to a hospital that would actually help me and I was denied and ignored. My symptoms were left unheard and were shrugged off leaving me in worse conditions at discharge than when admitting. I was placed in a room then moved to the hallway where I was nearly assaulted by another patient - this patient ended up being carried out by numerous amount of security/nurses. They listed my DOB incorrectly and did not have my insurance properly scanned in this was provided to them, they called me via cell two days later to recorrect it This was the most transactional and terrible hospital visit I have ever had and I have 3 witnesses that were with me. Once again, I will be filing a formal complaint as this hospital needs new quality and compliance yesterday.
Awful. Don't go here if you need medical help. My younger brother has autism and food allergies. They took note of his food allergies and gave him food that he's allergic to. They starved him and mistreated him. My mom brought him his food and medicine. THEY LOST IT! Every time my mom brought him meals the rude security guards would open it and squish it. He didn't brush his teeth or shower for 4 days because he needs to be reminded to do it, again because he's AUTISTIC. They treated him like an animal and I am opening a case against the hospital.
My friend is getting excellent care there but the hospital itself needs some changes such as visiting hours....they are terrible. They need to change the hours because the web site says 9 to 7 every day! Update your web site. The television channel selection is really bad. A Catholic hospital and no catholic channels and the channel showing the daily mass from the chapel has no sound!!
Horrible hospital, There customer service is just horrible. Granted this experience was just in the ER. I overhear their staff talking down to people checking in. I get there to see my son and im rudely talked to, first person says she will talk to them and see what is going on, I wait there forever without anyone coming out. Then when someone finally comes out they talk down to me like I am the problem. Then they send police to my house like I am abusive or I am the one that caused the problem. Little did they know I was at work, but you would think they would have observed that seeing as how I was in uniform. Either case, the first lady just blew me off, the second lady was extremely rude and not willing to help at all. I also find it funny how they hide all real contact info for complaints, they would not give any names to reference for complaints and they were more worried about being on social media then providing customer service. Its crazy how far that hospital has fell, I heard complaints in the past but didn't think anything of it until now. The only professional one was the doctor that finally came out. The rest of the staff need better customer service skills
Emergency room service is terrible. Just finish waiting 4 hrs to then be called and no one checks on my son. I go and ask and the person says there are 5 patients ahead and only one doctor. I hear workers chatting and gossiping about patients and not working. I wasted an entire night and had to go to another hospital.
I haven’t been seen yet, I’m in the waiting room. The reason for the review so far is that I walked in in severe pain , can barely walk, go up to the front desk and get completely ignored because the “receptionist “ is too busy with her coffee and lunch order. She is explaining in great detail her coffee order and sandwich order then carries on a conversation with the girl, also a hospital employee, who is taking the order. Finally after a minute or 2 turns to me as if I’m an inconvenience and asks me what I need! So much for first impressions.
