Fairifeld High is one of the most unwelcome schools ever. I didn’t find any teacher who would like you to be happy in the school. Specially Ms. Handa, Mr. Vaughan, Mr. Brian, and Mr. Michael are the most most most meanest and baddest teachers ever. They never care about a student or to make him/her happy. The substitutes never understand class rules and they just make there own rules which is pretty restarted. They want to be respected while they never give a dam about the student. This school has absolutely the worst worst teachers and staff.
I graduated FHS in 2006, and between entering that school and leaving I had the most miserable time. I was bullied and the staff didn't help me. I failed classes due to depression and illness and not one faculty member helped me out save the choir teacher and one lone English teacher, and an economics teacher who allowed my mother to sit the class with me to help me graduate on time. I was frequently afraid to attend, sick more often than not, the cafeteria food could have better been used to build shelters than put in bellies, and the PE teachers made me run when I was clearly having an asthma attack. I doubt in the near decade since my graduation that this institution has changed much at all. Were there enjoyable moments? Probably. Did I enjoy my time there? No. A decade later and I'm just now coming to terms with the damage done and becoming comfortable with who and what I am, which I'm told SHOULD have happened in high school
Out of all the teachers I would have to say ROTC Instructor Ret Chief Alexander had to be the most influential teacher/mentor there. I thank him for all his encouraging words when other teachers were pessimistic of other students. I would say FHS has a favorable balance of "good" and "bad" teachers. Do not expect to find a perfect school where kids will not get bullied in the area due to the demographic location. In my opinion during the earlier years 2000-2006 Fairfield/Suisun City was a safe haven for the troubled youth to relocate to.
Mr Patterson, hands down the best teacher. Campus is clean most of the time and the staff are on top of whatever kind issues they face. Band and jrotc absolutely kill it when representing the school.
Four got the power of the pen! My son attended this school Between1999 - 2001. He got his self in some trouble like most teens his age 14 to 16 trying to be a man before his time. He has two parents and for the most part lived poor but a close to middle class. Well any who he got himself into an altercation and we tried to resolve but the principle still suspended him. My son says he was in the office a couple of weeks later and saw another teen be escorted out by the police. My son then stated that after the boy walked by the principle he said "your next". When he came home later to tell me this I said "we'll deal with it tomorrow". So we go up to the school the next day ask him why he was labeling my son. he said "I have not said anything like that. I said your a dam lie the words you used jr doesn't use! If you ever treat my son like a Ni^$%^ again I will go to the school board and sue you!". After that we left. Two days later there is riot no surprise there at the school total mayhem my son said he was trying to help a close family friend out of crowd were she had been knocked down by a mob of other kids.He said "dad I felt someone grabbing me there were so many people that my reaction was to yank away". When I looked at the person it was the gym teacher I went limp now their charging me with assault on a teacher." The bureaucracy won the end of my story. The principles prophecy came through. SMH. The school is over crowded and they are trying their damnedest to get our kids ready for Vacaville prison. Their is no other way to look at it. Home school in Fairfield is my advice if your any race and poor. My kid had a record for silly mistake like most of us do at that age. He was railroaded from the gate after that mistake! I moved immediately because I saw what they had done to other teens once in the system. Put it this way it took me two or 3 months to get my kid back home. When we transferred to another city his lawyer asked "so do you want your son home" I said "I never wanted him in jail in the first place". The lawyer said" whats he still doing in jail then?" I said I dont know."He says" the average adult only does a week for a battery" he has almost been in 3 months and he has only two thing on his record THIS DOES NOT MAKE ANY SINCE"! I said "exactly". MY ADVICE Go to this school and find out were the teachers are sending their kids to and you will see and feel what I am saying. People they do to us what we allow them to do.! Another suggestion have a march on all of the hischool demanding better behaviorl modification RULES. All the kids are not trouble makers. The school system should not have their own rules that supersede our laws! like the right to defend your self. This has gone on long enough!
I am gonna be a junior and school has been good to me. I was kind of a slacker, but the school got me in line. I'm sure others can have good experiences here, too.
I was there for my freshman/sophomore yr and I actually hated going to school here I always got in to fights/jumped that i didnt even start here and the teachers never "noticed" or broke up the fights at 1 point i actually got jumped in the restroom and got stabbed prematurely by some wannabee gang banger and I didn't even bother going to the staff cause I would be the 1 to end up in jail...again...but they we're quick to suspend/have arrested me and other mexican students all the time i was always harrased by the racist old science teacher and the school police officer being stopped and checked all the time i couldn't even leave class to use the restroom without being stopped by some kind of rent a cop wannabees or if your truly familiar with the school you'll know I'm talking about "mr.clean" honestly the best part of my time at this school was when "I" again I say "I" left the school and started to attend Sem Yeto HS where I had no problems and even with all the credits I lost due to FHS poor staff line up I somehow was able to graduate 3 weeks before my class of 2012...i wonder why and how that happened sarcasm haha...FHS is overall the worst school experience I've ever had to deal with...if I could give this crappy school a ZERO rating trust me I would in a heartbeat.
I got bullied lot and they would not do anything there is one teacher mrs.trumbley who always stands up for students that is the only good thing though
