Nicely maintained primitive trails. Very clean and no trash. Could jog or just enjoy a walk. Easy access from town to enjoy a some nature but at the expense of a little city traffic noise.
Love fishing from kayak here over shore fishing. Only thing that sucks is the gate gets closed at 8:30pm even in summer when there is plenty of daylight left Restrooms: Pit toilet Picnic area: There are a couple picnic tables but no shelters
Always a beautiful experience out here. Always can catch fish and it's nice to go out on the water.
Hidden gem. Very peaceful. Good sized parking lot. Several benches along the waterline & walking trails. Good for fishing. Wildcat access site adjacent
These are great man-made lakes. They have a nice gravel beach area and multiple places with easy access to water. I rarely see people swimming there though. Maybe that's because right nextdoor is access to the Wildcat Creek which has a nice sandy beach area and water that is much nicer to swim in. A warning to fishermen, I have only ever seen one person catch a fish at Fairfield. I am not sure why but I've gone on fishing trips to Fairfield with large and small groups, at different times of day and seasons. A 5 year old caught a small bluegill once. That's it. Maybe people have other experiences but man-oh-man does it seem like it is a fish desert.
We love to walk our dog there on the trails! A lot of people fish there Dog-friendliness: There's quite a few people that take their dogs walking here!
I don't have pics, but have been there a few times fishing, and kicking back. It's so well keep, peaceful, and fairly safe. The lakes, and Wildcat Creek are monitored by local police, and DNR. GREAT PLACE TO GO BY YOURSELF, OR WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!!!
Beautiful place to relax. The 3 big ponds are nice. The kids caught a couple small blue gill which made them happy. The fish were small so we threw them back to grow up. I wish they had more areas cleared off to fish from and a more benches around the ponds for busy days like yesterday, but overall it a nice place to go and relax Picnic area: There's a couple picnic tables.
We have been going to Fairfield Lakes Park for several years now. We love to take our dogs walking on the trails, especially during the sunrise! We really enjoy capturing the changing leaves during the fall as well. Fairfield Lakes park will always be one of our most favorite places to photograph couples as well! It also seems to be a great place to Fish! We always see families fishing in the early AM!
Awesome park to fish at! Lots of great spaces to go and the water is well-stocked with Bluegill, Crappie, and SM Bass, among others. Will definitely fish here again in the future!
