Catholic Studies is an inter-disciplinary inquiry into the intellectual tradition, history and culture, both "high" and popular, of the Catholic Christian tradition. It explores Catholicism as a tradition with interlocking religious, cultural, intellectual and aesthetic elements.
The Center for Catholic Studies at Fairfield University promotes research and teaching on all aspects of the Roman Catholic Church. The Center fulfills its mission through the work of its director, currently Dr. Paul Lakeland, and through its various programs.
