This place is a beautiful place they go out of their way to assist you satisfy you and security. I myself have had a beautiful experience there with three of the best doctors I know doctor festus and Elizabeth excellent doctors I love them for their work and their patients with me. Oh and I can't forget my other doctor Christopher Bennett he's no longer with with us but was a great doctor too for me. So if anyone out there looking for a great doctor please save yourself the trouble and go to family healthcare
Switched to the dr from meritus. Dr was alright. But phyc has been a nightmare to deal with. Finally got seen by phyc in March. Started meds. Tried a new med in June. Didn't like it. Stopped taking it. Thinking we'll I'll see the dr in a few weeks. I go to that apr on July 18 They tell me dr no longer works there. Weird. I never got a call. I get a call to set up a new apt. We set it up for August 16th. I get another call to set up a new apt I say I've already set one up for the 16th. She looks it up and I'm not on the books for that day so we set up another apt on the 18th. By that time I was feed up and canceled only to realize I do need meds so set one up for today August 23rd. I go in today and wouldn't you know it. dr didn't show up today so my apt was canceled again. No call to let me know. Nothing. I'm not thrilled with the care so far and most likely switching Dr's again.
I had a dr. appointment here a few weeks ago as an already established patient. I got here early, and they informed me that the NCP I had an appointment with, "decided to move on today," which told me that she either quit or got fired. Nobody called or messaged me to tell me this, nor did they schedule another practitioner to see me in her spot. Other than that, all the medical and mental health practitioners are friendly, nice, and helpful. The building is new and nice...very clean. I still go here.
It’s very hard to get ahold of anyone via phone. Appointments are generally booked out far. Particularly dental They take a while to get things processed and my experience with PA Roscoe was not good at all. Hurried through my concerns. Assured me that things I was experiencing were normal when they weren’t. Spoke to me in a condescending manner. Ignored preexisting condition that I informed staff about. I do not recommend seeing him. Especially at the end of the day as he seemed to care more about getting home then addressing my serious concerns. I am willing to update my rating and give another chance once I see them again. I will however be seeing a different caregiver as I was came away feeling anger and frustration last time.
I have never left a review for anything, but this has become extremely frustrating for me as i feel as though i have not been taken seriously due to my age. I saw Dr.Rosko on 5/15 for stomach issues i was having. I told him my family had a history of colorectal cancer and i was concerned about that based on the symptoms i was having. I was pushed off and told I was lactose intolerant. He said he would get me a referral to a gastroenterologist anyway. I got lab work done as well on 5/15. I have now had to call about 6-7 times in the last week and a half and i have had to interpret my OWN lab work. I am just frustrated. I work in the veterinary industry and it is insane to me how different humans are treated. We call next day for lab work no matter what it looks like. It’s upsetting that a 21year old that is concerned about her health is trying to do google searches to figure out what her high/low values mean on the lab work. No one has called me at all. And no referral for that gastroenterologist either. I understand that healthcare is a busy profession, but at the least we should be calling people for their lab work.
My experience with this practice has not been a pleasant one. There is no consistency or continuity of care with providers. Providers leave this practice all the time so you can never get comfortable with one. They never inform you that your old doctor left until you make a new appointment, and simply try to spring a new doctor on you. Forget about asking questions about any new provider. The ladies who answer the phone will just tell you to check the website, instead of just telling you. It’s so ridiculous, as it takes a few minutes to give some background information to ease the patients mind about seeing a new provider. The ladies who answer the phones are in my opinion rude at times. You can tell that they are ready for retirement ,and waiting for the day to come. They will hang up on you if you call them out on their deplorable behavior or gaslight you. If you ask for their supervisor they always refer you to the lady from risk management as if she is the only supervisor for the entire building. When you ask for someone else beside her , they ALWAYS say “ they are not available, or off for the day. So I assume they simply supervise themselves. I also find it disturbing that when I have actually got a supervisor to voice my concerns to, they ask for my name/ bday to add notes to my chart, basically saying so they can expedite my complaint to the right person. This is disturbing because it seems like a Hippa violation. Why should a person who is not my doctor or directly responsible for my care have access to my chart? They seem to forget that they work for the patients and serve the community, not the other way around. My family will be leaving this practice. There are better places who will treat you with dignity and respect, not just another number they receive funding for.
Don't go get blood work done here at their quest diagnostics unless you want your blood work to be lost or never sent to where it needs to be. You will also get surprise bills even if your insurance is on file. Maybe it's just their trans clients though. There might be a terf there making sure to "lose" your blood work so you have outstanding bills and can't get your blood work taken at another quest diagnostics.
Not the best place. Im 19 and feel like I'm never taken seriously and they always tell me well go to the er or some other place. Even the most basic physical they didn't even do when that's what I scheduled my appointment for. Oh and now I'm currently sitting in the er when I was at the doctors yesterday because I wasn't taken seriously
I just called Family Healthcare of Hagerstown to inquire about their dental services and spoke with someone named "Kelly" and her tonality left me feeling like I was bothering her. I suggest anyone in need of Healthcare services find someplace else. I left them years ago as a primary care provider PCP for lousy service and I am trying to find someone in Hagerstown that accepts my dental insurance and against my best judgment gave Family Healthcare of Hagerstown a try only to find out that they are a reliable disappointment
Each experience i have had here has been unpleasant. I see one of the PA's....he dismisses your health issues and treats you as if your lying...i have severe knee/back pain came with xrays this person dismissed it and acted as if i jus wanted drugs when i only wanted an arthritis med. He stated well maybe you have a meniscus tear but didn't feel he needed to do anything for it. Felt unseen and unheard and felt discriminated against. Will be finding new care.
