This place has really good bbq. I loved when they had the steak hope they will bring it back soon. The portions are large I always leave with a take home box. Their cornbread muffins are so moist and yummy. About 6 or 7 sauces to choose from. Wait staff is usually very good. We did have an instance in which our waitress was really dry, but out of the many times we have dined herr and had pleasant experiences 1 time can be forgiven. We have also done carry out and it has been good as well. So far best bbq for me.

It has been about 3 years since I have been to Famous Dave's. My last experience was not a very good one. Our experience this past time was wonderful. Things have definitely changed and my sweetheart and I, will be back. Thank you for a great dining experience.

I first discovered Famous Dave's in Hermitage Tn many many years ago. I have never been disappointed. I no longer lived in the state but when I visit it is a must that I go. I took my hubby one year while on vacation, he said I don't want to go their the food want be good. He was so pleased we ate there two nights in a row. They know have one in Manhattan Kansas area. I was visiting my son her said mom I have someplace I want to take you it's a surprise, he had found famous Dave's, he and all my kids know this is my favourite. I know live in Raleigh NC and I keep checking for one in my area, so far the closes I see is in Virginia, just too far they bed to come a Lil closer.

Very Horrible service and food! Came in at 7 pm on a Saturday. First it took almost 20 minutes before anyone even came and took our drink order. We ordered our food and drinks at the same time since we had plenty of time. We were told our appetizer would be out in a few minutes but since they were backed up the food would be a little later. We all sat with empty cups forever without a waitress ever stopping by. After nearly an hour the waitress came with our appetizer finally and it was missing food from it sampler. And then 5 minutes later our food came. Defeats the purpose of the app! During the meal the waitress came one last time about 15 minutes in to the meal but left me with my empty glass. The food was terrible, all fat on all our meals more fat than meat. We than waited another 15 minutes for someone to finally come and take our card so we could leave this awful place. Will not be coming back ever!

I have eaten in a couple times, but mainly get a family feast on the way home from work. Most of the time there is no issue. However, whenever a male answers the phone I seem to have issues. They clearly do not know what is in the menu items, especially the American feast. He actually told me it was all meat and NO SIDES, so he charged me extra for sides ON TOP of the sides that came with the meal. Im glad the people actually making the food know what each dish comes with, but the people taking orders WHO HAVE A MENU NOT 1 FOOT FROM THEM do not, which leads to confusion and over charging. Besides this, great food and good portions for the price.

The brisket was horrible. Very tough and flavorless. I ordered lemonade and it was half water. The waitress/bartender just took it away without asking if I wanted anything else to drink. Not worth the money.

Is it famous for being terrible? It was like beef jerky slathered in bbq sauce. Out of a group of four, no one enjoyed any part of their meal except for the fries. So if you want to pay $20 per person for decent fries and beef jerky have at it.

Nice brisket and chopped pork. How could you go wrong with bottomless chocolate milk? Had tons of sauce flavours at the table to try. Service was excellent.

Had a delicious lunch with appropriately-sized portions for lunch. Brisket was flavorful and not dry at all. Six sauces to choose from and attentive servers.

Went there Sun, 19 Jun 2016, with parents to celebrate Father's Day. We had the expected wait as we arrived around 2pm. However aside from the appetizers, the food here was nothing like its former delicious past standard. I was a bit embarrassed for this Fredericksburg In-famous Dave's. Half of our ribs were burnt, the Mac and Cheese was a soup, the Wilbur beans were runny...ugh!!! This turned me off so badly that I may NEVER revisit a Famous Dave's again!!!
