Tho Farquhar park is a small local park its actually one of the best for your individual workout with pullup, sit up and dip bars featuring the simple yet effective World trails program. Its also across the Iconic Kiwanis lake with Water fowl and Endangered Great Egrets. Its a must on your tour of the great York City!
Great place for families located near my sons school so he gets to visit park everyday. This park has everything!

Nice park and the tennis courts are nice.
It takes a real Yorker, specifically a Parkway kid to grasp the true beauty of Farquhar Park. Not only is it one of the biggest parks in the city, it sits on a tall hill overlooking Kiwanis Lake. One of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city sits on the top of this hill. It offers basketball and tennis courts, as well as public grills and pavilions. York City government could remodel some structures but it’s still beautiful. I miss spending time there growing up on Smith Street.
Lovely park situated in a quiet part of the city. No parking lot within the park but plenty of street parking all around the park. Saturday morning it was quiet. Basketball court and many tennis courts. Pavillion in center for events and a pavillion with benches and grill. Lots of different paved paths to take around the hilly park. Plenty of shade to picnic under. Bathrooms were rudimentary but running water. Only a short drive or reasonable walk from downtown too.
Took a quick walk around with my buddy, Max. He loved it. There were geese walking about the park and the occasional squirrel. Very quiet with park benches. Didn't have much time but the grounds were well kept and the old trees were beautiful. Parking on the street surrounding park was adequate for the time of day. Will return.
Nice place to go for a picnic.
We had a picnic it was lovely
Great local park. Lots of raptors as it is one of the highest points in the city and good tree cover. Prime winter sledding.
