Fist visit to this location. Off jump we noticed that they sell a lot more things then any of my local Walmarts. We were able to find paintball guns, paintballs, and the larger filled containers of CO2. The place was huge but the setup was kinda confusing. The employees actually asked me if I needed help and It was also wonderful to have an actual cashier cash us out and she was super friendly. I definitely recommend this location. If you're looking for something your local Walmart should have but doesn't this place probably does.
This Walmart has 20 checkout aisles and even on a busy Sunday only 3 are open. Lines are out to the clothes and you can't even walk through the main aisle. I would love to say this doesn't happen often, but even the employees know this happens all the time. Someone in front of us asked an employee walking by why can't they open more checkouts and he responded, "because Walmart sucks". They would rather save a couple bucks then make a better shopping experience for their customers.
I like this store cuz it's more clean than ones closer to Rochester. I just wish they would put medicine and deodorants and shampoo on the same side as the food is on. Do you know how hard it is for elderly people to walk all the way across the store to pick up a prescription or denture cleaner and then go food shopping? That would be something nice.
There is a lady at check out don’t remember her name but she is an older lady with grey curly hair, I absolutely love her!! I work for ARC and she is so patient with us every time!! She deserves a raise or something!! I love that lady and so do the individuals I work with!!! She’s amazing!! Please treat her good because she’s a good one
Store is never fully stocked. Pick up for groceries is a joke. I'm a busy mom and the last 2 times I tried to use this service I've waited over an hr for my groceries, even when I received the email saying it was ready for pick up. I tried to cancel my pick up since I have kids to pick up from after school activities and they told me if i do it would be a week before i received my money back, which is crazy because i would need that money to buy food from somewhere else to feed my family. I do not recommend this service at this location.
I usually don't have issue with location, except for the lack of employee operated registers. But today, was the worst experience ever! Shelves poorly stocked and very rude personal shoppers pushing their way through the aisles with no regard for the elderly or children. Everyone was rushed. There were only 4 registers open and the line for self checkout was easily 30 people long. Our usually favorite cashier was unexpectedly rude today, and when we asked for a manager nobody ever came to speak with us. Not impressed.
After the horrible treatment that I’ve endured working for this company for almost 3 years, I can whole heartedly, and honestly say that that store needs a union. I was let go for no reason and given no direction or coaching by Walmart. I was an outcast physically shoved by employees, and nothing was done. They say no retaliation but I’m sitting here unemployed! In a better place Walmart should bring in in a union immediately! How else can you protect hard honest employees? I will miss my customers who made my time there enjoyable and made me feel valued. Walmart management value their favorites. If you’re not from here don’t apply!
Walmart Supercenter in Canandaigua NY is always clean, well-organized and usually has what I'm looking for. I frequently opt to visit this one rather than my other, slightly-closer option because this one is conveniently located to quite a few restaurants and other stores I like to visit and is a larger store so more likely to have more obscure items I'm looking for.
It's Walmart, friendly staff, but, it's canandIgua, beautiful little upstate town, with a megapolice force convenience at every turn and politics is everywhere.
Absolutely hate this place they got at least 20 check out line's and yet you are lucky if three are open also the service is like Aldi's you haft to bag your own stuff for the time I waist and the money I spend you would at least think they would have the common curtsey too at least bag your stuff with out the attitude
