Fatima african hair braiding

I called for an appointment for my 10-yr-old daughter and she said she would call once she got to the shop and have access to the schedule and she never called me back. It's been over a week. It's ok because I spent over $200 for Dana's african hair braiding to do my baby's hair and I love it. Blessing in disguise!!

Fatima has been doing my hair for several years and though there have been times where she stops and talks,Which can be a little irritating, I have only experienced one time when I had to be there past the 4-5 hours it takes her to do my micro braids. She does a superior job and is worth an occasional wait.

They do good hair. But they don't know how to talk and do hair at the same time. The lady that was doing my hair kept stopping to do somebody's else hair. Then I asked her constantly to leave my baby hair out and she still didnt leave em out. Not my damn edges hurt they do good but so unprofessional. Oh my hair appointment was at 3 and she started on it at 5. Not coming back.

I drove an hour to get my hair braided and walked in and she said she called someone else to cancel and thought it was me because the lady said ok. Gas too high for this!

I’m mad asf!!! I set my appointment for 8:30 this morning. I made it there 8:20 only to have still be sitting there 10:30,. I just up and left. Because they had 3 people already in the chair by the time I get there and then tell me first come first serve. Don’t get me wrong Fatima does excellent work but they are very unorganized. And 200 is a lot to be paying to get the run around.

I had to wait several hours before they got started on my head. Fatima told me that two people would complete my micro braids. Her and another lady so she began to braid my hair, only completing one side. When the other other decided to come in she made the micros different sizes from what Fatima had started. The lady constantly stayed on the phone talking about personal issues, which was annoying. I was in their studio from 8am until 5pm that day. The end result is my hair is breaking around my edges because the micros are snapping off. I won't be back. The charge for my micros were $240.00 medium size.

I wish I could give less. Took too long to start, only to stop to talk. The woman beside me complained about being there for an hour and how she needed to get home to her kids and all she needed was 6 braids going into a bun. They lied about whether or not they knew how to do a sew in they didn't. Now my scalp hurts because the woman the braided it didn't use any jam while braiding it. I tried to wait until I was calm enough to write a review that wouldn't make the place seem too horrible, but after sitting for 4.5 hours for a sew in just to have Fatima try to "explain" to me why they did such a horrible job and how I needed to use bobby pins to keep it together. She couldn't even cut the lace properly and left a significant amount exposed. Long story short, I'm tired, my hair looks horrible, and I just wasted nearly 5 hours of my life.
