The Fauquier County Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for everyone in Fauquier County.
Fauquier County Parks and Recreation brings a diverse offering of both indoor and outdoor activities to the community. Parks & Recreation operates three community centers, eight parks, a community pool and theater, a rapidly expanding system of trails, sports fields and many more courts and fields on school properties throughout the county. With thoughtful care and a mind for preserving the county’s rich history, the Department operates nine sites of historical significance, including the “Official Gold Mining Interpretive Center” for the state of Virginia.
