The food was perfect, portions we're perfect, no leftovers but not leaving hungry either. The beer selection was not bad, and the atmosphere on a Thursday at 5:30 was very relaxing.
The food was delicious and I loved knowing we were helping provide meals for those in need!
Expect to spend about $15 per person here. My girlfriend and I work near the location, so we decided to try it out as a lunch date. When we entered at about 12pm and we were the only people there, it was a little unnerving. But the restaurant was clean and seemed upscale so we of course gave it the benefit of the doubt. I'm very glad we did. The burger I ordered was very good. Cooked well, quality ingredients, and fantastic fries that tasted like they were homemade! For a $10 meal it was pretty great! Better than an $8 meal you'd get at the nearby Culver's not that I have anything against Culver's. It also appeared that for every meal ordered, they donate one or more meals to locals in need, which is just an added perk to the location. We're still curious on the specifics, but we'll likely visit again and be sure to ask. Once we were done eating some more people started to trickle in, a few groups here and there. So it never got much busier. Judging from the fact that they serve alcohol, however, I'd image its more popular during dinner. Overall I would recommend this location to anyone interested. It's a little bit of a pain to get to, and somewhat out of the way, but if you work nearby I'd say it's a perfect lunch spot. I'll definitely be returning soon
I've been to feed the world several times, and I always want to love it. I end up just liking it every time. The moscato is delicious. The service is always great. The food...they try really hard. It always seems to come up just shy of awesome. This time I got the curried chicken salad sandwich. The chicken was seasoned well, but the sandwich needed some sort of sauce to pull everything together I think I watch too much Chopped :- Anyway...I'll keep going back because I like the atmosphere and charity work, and the food is okay.
The service was fine. We were served quickly and the food came out quickly. We paid extra for bacon and mushrooms and the portions of each were miserably small. If you like vegan or vegetarian stuff, this place is probably awesome. If you want a burger, go to Wendy's.
This place is outstanding, The atmosphere was really nice I felt welcome comfortable and enjoyed the artwork. The wait staff is extremely responsive very polite and always looking to help. Amazing service, the shaf even came out to speak to me about my meal which was absolutely incredible. I had French toast sausage and hash Browns with a homemade Michigan blueberry Maple syrup. You must try this place I'm deftly coming back!
Great atmosphere, great coffee and food. Friendly service. And so far it isn't packed at lunch time I suspect that will change. I've tried a few lunch items and the "Ol' Boy" open faced BBQ is the standout to me - so good. Outdoor dining patio is a nice plus as well. And if you're looking for a reason to feel good about dining out - they have a buy one give one philosophy you should inquire about.
Good food. Open atmosphere. Outdoor seating. Kind of a Panera bread vibe but with a wait staff. The waitress we had wasn’t as friendly as I would like but it was an overall good experience. I don’t really see us returning though, there are other better options in town.
Coffee shop meets Modern American Bistro theme. Should be named "Fees the World SLOWLY Cafe". Came in for lunch with a group of 10. Placed orders at 12:15. Pre-lunch salads arrived 12:30. A little slow for 4 salads, but not totally unacceptable. Then lunch entrees took another 40 min to show up nearly an hour in total. In the meantime, empty salad plates sat on the table with no comment as to why our food was taking so long. I would totally understand if the place was packed, but the only other occupied table in the restaurant was a two top. That said, everyone thought their food was excellent! As noted elsewhere, the beer selection is good too, though nothing on draught. Love the mission!!! Overall, a good place to enjoy a slow dinner, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're on any kind of a schedule. This place would be 5 stars if they could get their timing issues fixed.
Food came quickly and service was good. Atmosphere is cozy but it seems like they don't know what they want to be. Part coffee shop, part bar. Cool concept but could use some work. In the warmer months it would be nice to sit on the patio area.
