Ferraro Functional Fitness is a specialized fitness program utilizing state of the art Prevention and Performance created at the University of Miami.
Ferraro Functional Fitness (F3) is a division of Ferraro Spine and Rehabilitation and is the Official training facility of the NFL Alumni Wellness Challenge. This intelligent training model was developed to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and fitness, offering a cutting edge individualized functional movement plan that not only burns calories and builds lean muscle but is unique to each individual. Whether an elderly grandmother, who is afraid of falling or an elite high school athlete, the F3 system will develop a specific plan to help them exceed their goals.
F3 is a one stop shop for the fitness minded patient or the nervous patient whose insurance just ran out. Our facility picks up where the rehabilitation and functional training of physical therapy leave off.
Unlike other health club models, we have much more to offer our clients with multiplanar movement therapy, sports specific training, golf training, fit 4 life elderly fitness, self- directed recovery modalities (TENS/ Wellwave), vibration training, functional nutrition and much more. The F3 system is perfect for the small corporation seeking to reduce healthcare costs and missed sick days, thereby improving productivity and increasing revenue. It also works for the competitive high school athlete looking to gain an edge with our injury prevention program. What sets us apart from the competition is the access and guidance from the exercise physiologists and nutritionists utilizing a state of the art Prevention and Performance program created at the esteemed University of Miami.
While rehabilitation’s purpose is to help patients recover from injuries and ailments, our pre-habilitation model is designed to prevent and avoid injury by analyzing each individual client’s unique functional abilities, capacities and limitations. An individualized corrective exercise plan is implemented to improve asymmetries, functional movement, strength, and flexibility deficits. This unique approach allows each individual to achieve optimal performance on the field and in life.
