Today I had a appointment and was first nervous about the visit, when I walked in there was someone who told exactly where I needed to go and so I did. I walked to the desk and the lady was super amazing and sweet, even thought my insurance was acting up, she still was super talkative and made me feel welcome. I ended up waiting in the hospital for 30-45 minutes for my doctor to arrive but they had a lot of patients so I can't be mad. When the doctor showed up she apologized and was super nice, she told me honest answers to my questions and helped me get the best possible birth control for my body. I am still due to get the implant but that will be at a different place. When the appointment ended and they quickly helped me out I then had to schedule another appointment. The women scheduling was also very nice and helped get us in no matter what, she looked for all possible places and helped us get in soon and within my husbands timeframe. They even gave me a free sandwich for patients appreciations week! Thank you so much for the amazing service!
It does not matter what time I schedule my appointment. I’ll be waiting over an hour to even get into a room. Not to mention that by the time I’m in the room, the doc will spend about 5min with me. Stop overbooking and wasting people’s valuable time. Edit to add, I asked about my wait time and apparently the doctor left. So this has been a waste of my time and I will not be back.
Went to Fetter Health Care for a Dental appointment. It was my first time. The staff were very friendly and patient. I had a lot of questions filling out some of the forms. Especially, the sliding fee form which is great by the way. They were very patient, and I did not see any look like I was taking too long or bothering them. I was a little skeptical at first when I was called back to Dental, but everyone was so welcoming it made me feel a little better. Long story short, my examination and cleaning was great. I will be coming back!
I had a walk in appointment at 1:40 that I drove in at 9:40 am to make, because when I called I was told I had to come in person. I slept in the car since I live 45 mins away. Went into the office at 1:05 and checked in. Waited in the waiting room until 4:04. I approached a staff member in the 3rd check in box and ask if I had maybe had been skipped over around 3pm, she abruptly said, ‘ pls have a seat and wait for your name to be called’. So I sat. I approached a more reasonable staff member at the front desk who told me I assigned as a ‘no show’ at 1:23. I am now still in the waiting room at 4:15pm. This will be my final visit at Fetter Health Care. I also drove to the two other offices this morning and they had no doctor in office .
I called fives to request my dental appointment, and no one ever called me back. It’s been a month. No one called back the appointment team don’t pick. This place is terrible and they take advantage of the fact that many people don’t have dental insurance. Very unprofessional. They don’t call back, you must request an appointment, and when you do you still don’t get a call back.
One of the worst health care facilities in Charleston. What makes it so sad is the health clinic doesn’t even care that are doing a inferior job of serving our community. I would like to add that Fetter has a nurse case manager for the patients that attend the clinic. My nurse manager name is Jenny. She is the worst- she never calls you back, you always get the answering machine and you can tell from her voice, she is non caring.
Fetter has cancelled my last couple of appts. Now I have run out of one of my meds. I've been calling and sending messages for a week since finding out my last appt was cancelled. Despite the office telling me a provider would refill my Rx, no response, texts, calls, or Rx. My provider has left Fetter and no available new provider appt until August.
Horrible experience, I’m praying that my son is approved for financial assistance through MUSC. The doctor as well as the staff does not care about the patients. I’ve left over 7 voice messages and 3 messages via the app asking that someone calls me back concerning my son. I’ve gone to the downtown location several times and no one cares or does what they say they’ll do excluding Mr. Bryant he’s great!. Please if you have serious health issues do not go to Franklin C. Fetter. My son had a bad stroke, I’m still waiting on a response. The only number listed goes directly to the CSR, and their just as worst as the staff.
UPDATED TO ADD: I received a call from Andrea, from the downtown location. She is absolutely phenomenal and got all of my problems and concerns addressed and solved. An absolute blessing. I came on May 31st for an appointment. I waited for 3 hours and was never seen. I rescheduled for today, July 19th for a 9AM appointment. It’s 9:07, they’re telling me the doctor isn’t here and there’s nobody that can do my procedure. So I drove another 40 minutes for absolutely no reason. Staff is unprofessional, nobody is on time and there is no organization in this place.
I've had multiple poor experiences at this location. In November, I had an appointment with a doctor who no longer worked there and received zero heads up. I waited for a doctor they rescheduled with that day and ended up waiting an hour longer than my updated appointment time. I walked out and rescheduled my appointment for today, but ended up walking out when they mentioned it would be another 30 minutes until the doctor could see me - an hour later than my appointment time. Please manage patient's expectations, as I schedule my work day around my appointments. Extremely unprofessional and I will not be returning.
