The Flint Institute of Arts is committed to promoting understanding and enjoyment of the visual arts through high quality programs. We believe art is a vital component of life and that learning is a lifelong process. Our educational programming provides dynamic and enriching experiences for people of all ages with all levels of familiarity with art.
Our programs invite people to gain greater understanding and enjoyment of the FIA's outstanding permanent collection and special exhibitions. They are designed to present learning opportunities that are rich in content and stimulate imagination, thought and creativity.
As a leading art museum in Michigan, we offer exciting opportunities to support critical thinking, creativity, and visual literacy skills with our programs for preschool through high school students. Museum visits may be scheduled for exhibitions, studio lessons, or programs combining a gallery visit and studio activity. We also offer a wide range of outreach programs for presentation in you school (limited to Genesee County).
