I am a mother and an art teacher. I have a process approach to teaching, with a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) focus. I also blog about our creative projects to help other teachers and to inspire creativity at home.

Mission

We plan on having lots of fun, while learning, and exploring the creative world. The curriculum is designed to encourage student creativity, imagination, individual expression and skill development.

This was our first year sending our son to Figment and he absolutely LOVED it!! I admit I was a bit nervous as this was his first year in a camp but our 7 year old throughly enjoyed every day. We especially loved getting photos and getting a glimpse into all the cool activities and experiences at camp. We will definitely be signing up our son and daughter next year!
My kids attended Figment for a week of summer camp. They are often hesitant about new places, but after a short tour, my daughter couldn't wait for camp. It is the kind of messy, colorful, chaotic fun that kids LOVE, all while being safe and well-organized too which I love. Animals, colorful projects, water days, experiments, really creative crafts. A kid's wonderland. The kids came home EVERY day saying what an awesome place it is and how much fun they'd had. Drop-off and pick-up and parent communication was well-organized too.
We recently switched to figment for preschool and we are thrilled we did. The kids have so much to do and see. Every day we get photos of the crafts they do and the animal friends they meet. They have been so communicative about covid precautions. We feel like our kiddo is safe at all times and thriving mentally there.
Amber provides a fun, creative, and a safe environment. My two daughter's loved summer camps with her, learning from different STEM projects, along with free imaginative play when they were 3 and 5 years old. Amber's love for her work shows through her passionate and patient demeanor, open teaching style, and time spent with her students.
We signed up for Figments Summer Camp because of their Covid protocol and their commitment to the safety of the staff and kids. Plus I’ve heard good things. BEST DECISION EVER. My son has come home every day so far raving about how much he loves it and it’s so fun 1,000 fun and every day is the best day ever. The drop off process is super easy they have a drive thru option that is quick and easy. The pick up is also drive thru option but much more crowded but its still not too horrible. The staff is super nice they remembered who my child was by the 3rd day! and seems attentive. I’m thinking about signing up for the after school thing come fall. Have no bad things to say so far!!
Hands down one of the best places for mommy and me classes in Austin for toddlers! We could not recommend them more!
An amazing space for amazing minds. Ask for petunia the pig.
