Are you a non-traditional student who needs help figuring out how to return to school? FWYS at URI supportive program designed for adults like you.
Your Finish-What-You-Started Coordinator and Academic Advisor will work as a team to help you navigate your admission into the University and arrange your course schedule.
The Finish-What-You-Started Program partners with colleges to guide former University of Rhode Island Students to re-admission. The decision about whether to re-admit students rests solely with the individual colleges, but your coordinator will assist you in the process. The first step to re-admission is completing and submitting the re-admission form.
If you completed courses at another institution, providing your transcript will allow your advisor to determine if those credits may transfer to the University of Rhode Island. You should request the institution mail an official, sealed transcript to the dean of the college of which hosts your desired degree.
You may also use the Transfer Course Equivalencies (TES® Database) to see whether the University of Rhode Island has a standing agreement to transfer credits from specific courses. The database is meant as a guide. All transfer credit must be approved by your dean’s office.
