First Data Field

Description

First Data Field is a baseball stadium located in Port St. Lucie, Florida. The stadium was built in time for the 1988 season and holds 7,160 people. It is the Spring training home of the New York Mets (who moved from St. Petersburg's Al Lang Stadium), as well as the home to the St. Lucie Mets Class A team and the Gulf Coast Mets Rookie League team.Naming rightsThomas J. White, the person for whom the stadium was originally named, was a real estate developer from St. Louis, Missouri who worked with sportswriter Jack Champion on the successful campaign to bring the Mets to Port St. Lucie. He was the master developer who gave birth to the town of St. Lucie West. In 2004 the Mets changed the name of the venue to Tradition Field. On March 23, 2010, during a Mets spring training game against the Atlanta Braves, it was announced that effective immediately the stadium would be renamed Digital Domain Park, as a result of a multi-year partnership between the Mets and Digital Domain. At the end of the 2012 season, the Mets announced that Digital Domain would no longer own the naming rights to the ballpark, and that the stadium would temporarily be renamed Mets Stadium. On February 7, 2013, the Mets struck a new deal with Tradition, Florida, and the ballpark was once again called Tradition Field, the park's name from 2004 to 2009.

We spent July 3rd at the stadium. We had amazing seats, my teenagers and 3 year old had a great time. It was a wonderful night! And Kids got foul balls! I highly recommend this for families or even just a date night.
Although I may be a little biased as a Mets fan, objectively this is definitely one of the better ballparks to see a game for Spring Training. We’ve been coming each year for the past several years and have always had a great experience. Great views all around the park with plenty of bars/concession stands. They recently made some renovations as well. Compared to other parks I’ve been to in Lakeland and the Tampa Bay area, this one definitely has most beat in amenities.
Group of ten, had an air conditioned suite right in back of home base. Suite was roomy for our group and having an ensuite bathroom right inside the suite box. Equipped with a few stadium style seats and two bistro tables and four bar stools at each table. At the far corner was kitchen counter space, small sink and a mini-fridge. Nice view out to the field, having large retractable windows. Nice time had suite host was very pleasant and came to check on us periodically. I thought the beverages were outrageously priced at over $30 for a 6-pack of soda, even bottled water was astronomical. The park allowed us to decorate the suite for a themed event which we appreciated. All in all enjoyable time.
What a beautiful stadium and complex. A great atmosphere with lots of pictures showing the history of the Mets organization. A little bit of Flushing south.
A great evening watching the minor league Port St. Lucie Mets. The stadium is perfect with nice seating, great food stands, and a nice sports memorabilia store. Food prices are very reasonable and selections are typical of sporting events. Pretzels, ice cream, pizza, and beer just to name a few. And of course you can't beat a delicious hot dog and a cold drink. Even better tonight was dollar night. Dogs and beers were only 1 buck. Ticket prices are cheap which is great for family events. Looking to spend a night out with the family? Come watch the PSL Mets at this wonderful stadium.
So much fun. We visited from out of state. The environment was fun even though the Mets lost. Love the dollar night makes it even more affordable to go out as a family.
1st time in "new" Ballpark. Mets vs Marlins at last Spring Training game. Perfection!
We've had so much fun the past few games! Thursdays dollar beer night is a win.
Very nice ballpark. Small crowds.. Clean, several food options, and a fun atmosphere overall. Entry is a breeze, but beware! No re-entry is allowed, and you cannot bring bags sometimes lol. Food and drink is outrageously overpriced, i.e. a water for 4.25 USD and chicken tenders for 7.75 USD, but if you can enjoy the moment without draining your pocket, going out to the ball game is well worth it.
Attended a spring training game there this year and a St Lucie Mets game. The stadium is perfect for families and very kid friendly. Ticket prices are very affordable as well. Sat behind home plate for St Lucie Mets game. Staff was friendly. They have $1 nights on Thursday’s and fireworks on Saturday nights.
