FLS was a Christian school serving students from preschool - 8th grade. It closed its doors in June, 2015 after over 60 years of service in education.
Our school, which has been providing quality, Christian education in Temple City since 1945, is affiliated with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, an organization that represents more than 2,600 educational agencies from preschool through college in every state of the United States.
Our elementary Lutheran school system dates back to the 1830's when Lutheran congregations established Christian Day Schools for their children. Our schools are unique because we focus on the spiritual, intellectual and moral development of your children in a Christ-centered environment.
We pride ourselves in small class size and individual attention for our students. We are fortunate to have a staff that shares the values of commitment and caring, along with experience and training. Each of our teachers holds a bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
Sonshine House Preschool has a great deal to offer you and your child. We are open year around and supportive to working families. Our goal is to develop our students into confident, well rounded individuals with Christian values. We establish this foundation with an Academic Curriculum which includes developmentally appropriate activities. We have highly qualified teachers who provide a loving Christian environment warmed by the loving “Son-shine” of God’s Son, Jesus.
In partnership with home and church and by the grace of God, we are committed to helping students learn and develop skills that will enable them to be effective citizens of this world and heirs of glory with our Lord Jesus Christ
