First Row Centre for the Arts is an interactive art space ready to serve the local and surrounding communities by providing a venue for visual art, music, poetry, and performance. We believe in the concept "Each one, teach one", meaning that every individual has something to share.
At our spacious location in Greentown, we feature original art in various media by emerging, mid-career, and established artists from around our region and beyond.
Our friendly centre and neighborhood coffee house welcome all ages to learn, grow, and share with us.
Beginning in August, our welcoming environment will be home to a coffee house and venue for art events, classes, musical entertainment, and theatrical performance.
Our Gallery Space
The Main Gallery: 1250 Square Feet, is a beautifully renovated, light-filled gallery in our 150-year old building, complete with original hardwood floors, new chandeliers, and French salon-style hanging system. This art space is dedicated to a monthly exhibit on the second Saturday of every month. This gorgeous area is available for large solo exhibits, group shows, poetry readings, music, and other performances.
The Cafe Gallery: 1100 square feet, is attached to the street gallery through two open archways, and is home to our Boston-Stoker coffee shop and café area and is also equipped with our French salon-style hanging system. The large wall expanse and warm setting are ideal for individual exhibits, small-group shows, classes, workshops, and other more intimate gatherings. The exhibits here also run on monthly rotation, beginning the second Saturday of each month.
