Description

Fishkill Farms is an apple orchard and diversified fruit and vegetable farm in the town of East Fishkill, New York. We grow apples, peaches, berries, cherries, and other fruits, all of which are available in season for pick-your-own. We also have diverse organically grown vegetable plantings, and pasture-raised chickens. Our goal as a farm is to produce fresh, healthy and sustainably grown food for local customers.

Visitors can get our produce at our farm store (where other locally produced foods are available) or at any of the several farmer's markets we attend in Brooklyn & the Hudson Valley.

"Fishkill Farms is a 270-acre apple orchard and vegetable farm located in East Fishkill, New York, that has been in the Morgenthau family for over 100 years. Our homegrown organic vegetables and eco-certified fruit can be found year-round at our farm store and through our seasonal pick-your-own operation, as well as our CSA program and several farmer’s markets in the Hudson Valley and New York City. Starting organic strawberries and peas in the June, organic tomatoes, & eco-certified stone fruit through the summer months and culminating with apples and pumpkins through September & October, the farm provides family-friendly outdoor fun for the local community."

Loved the area it was very picturesque and refreshing. The day which started out cool warmed up and fabulous. It's a great place to go with girlfriends, coworkers and family. Pick best apples straight from trees and wipe them off and eat. They have apple cider and excellent Mexican food stand. They could make a killing with some candy apples but that is the only thing they don't have. Overall go it was best day trip.
Beautiful and well run farm and orchard! Great Cider Donuts! Lots of food options on the weekend. Pick ur own requires reservations through their website and must be prepaid…so is the hard cider tasting…good place to spend a couple of hours.
I’ve been to Fishkill Farms several times now and just reviewing because this place is AMAZING!! Such a nice escape from the city to the best “Pick-Your-Own” farm around. Whether it’s in the summer for berries and tomato’s or fall for pumpkins and apples, they have it all! I’ve had the best apple of my life here! There eco certified and organic produce is delicious every time. It’s one of the best experiences of my life tasting the freshness that is grown here. As a culinarian it’s a must stop if you want to do a “farm to table”. The staff has always been kind and knowledgeable. It’s so wonderful too to see all the bees and butterflies going about their little lives unbothered by people. The grounds are also well kept and easy to navigate. It’s truly a wonderful respite from the city & suburbs. And if you are there and they are making donuts; GET SOME! I highly recommend visiting and supporting this farm. They’re great!
We went to the farm for blueberry picking on a Tuesday morning. It’s so quiet, we really enjoy our time there. Their prices are very reasonable, and the farm is massive with a shop and cafe. Btw, the small blueberry is super sweet, and the big one actually is sour to our taste.
We came during the off-season on a weekday, but even so the offerings and attentiveness here wasn’t great. Highlight: The view from the windows on a beautiful clear day. The wine selection was local and so enticing. Lowlight: We smelled something baking like the fresh smell of apple cider donuts. But when we went closer to the smell, the only baked offering was bread. Another lowlight: There was no wine sampling at the moment or offered to us even though we sat down at the tables.
Very crowded, I wish they would advise us upon entering where there are a lot of apples. We walked along so many areas of just bare trees. There's great scenery for beautiful pictures. The grill and bakery need more employees, waiting 45 minutes to an hour on line just to order is crazy.
Went for cherry picking season. This farm is kept really well and love the tractor ride to the main picking area. Food at the stand always fresh and nice flavor.
Always a good experience here. Beautiful orchards you can drive right into. Allowed to bring your own food to picnic outside. But they do have delicious food for sale as well as a cider bar with wrap around porch that allows for gorgeous views of the orchard. Live music as well. Used to be inexpensive pre-covid but now $48 for admission for 5 people with 1 bag to fill with apples.
Our second time visiting Fishkill Farms. The staff is nice and professional. We went when they had their Harvest Fall Festival, there were a lot of people but it was well organized. They had 3 food trucks and a band. The line for their apple cider donuts was long but it was worth it. They have tons of apples, some veggies and herb in their orchard. It was a wonderful experience!
Really nice dog friendly farm for apple picking. They've also got pumpkins, vegetables, fruits etc. The cider room has a nice selection & there's a farm shop with various items for sale. The place gets packed during weekends & requires a pre-booking for apple picking. It's also best to make a reservation for the cider room as it's difficult to grab a table for walk-ins. All in all, a great day out at this beautiful property.
